On the eve of a new year, it's time for a new thread.
Last year's thread can be found here:
Vinyl released 1979 - Tidy early album from Mr Hiatt. ????
Now Playing........
Steely Dan - Everything Must Go
Streaming on TIDAL........ fading back 15 years and spinning some Steely Dan, and it is sounding mighty fine!
(2014)
The Black Keys - Turn Blue
Bluesy psychedelic rock, what's not to like? Going down well with the first Tanqueray and tonic of the evening.
Vinyl released 1985 - Recorded while Hiatt was high on D&A. The album bombed and Geffen dropped him. There’s some good stuff on this album and features Elvis Costello. ????
Enjoying what is in my view Waters' finest solo album. Holographic imaging is delightful.
Pinky and Perky - Christmas with Pinky and Perky - Tidal
I blame Dan for this. The only P&P I can find on Tidal, it’s actually great fun.
(2008)
Wooden Shjips - Volume 1
Going down deeper into the Shjips very heavy, very fuzzy psychedelic grooves.
1981 vinyl
Why? The album just popped into my head whilst at work...

KT Tunstall - Tiger Suit, this one is a bit of a slow burner.
Released 2005 - Love the Piano Jazz Radio Broadcasts, they give the listener an insight to the artists jazz influences, music careers, and great chat with the wonderful Marian McPartland. Fine album. ????
Some great piano jazz, just for Jim.

Moon Duo - Circles
A bit more from Ripley Johnson (Wooden Shjips) here he is with his other half Sanae making more fine music albeit less fuzzy and intense than Wooden Shjips, good stuff.
Propaganda - Duel (from ‘The Organisation of Pop: 30 Years of ZTT records’)
This awesome compilation kicks off with Grace Jones’s ‘Slave to the Rhythm’ but I defy anyone not to love this track. Pop at its best.

Yep - great stuff. Due to see them in London in September...
London Chamber Orchestra - Vivaldi Four Seasons, Pachelbel Canon, Albinoni Adagio, Original U.K. vinyl
Three of the warhorses of the classical repertoire, in very enjoyable performances from the LCO. There is a simple reason why these pieces seem ubiquitous, they’re really lovely music.
Dolly Parton - Halos & Horns
CD2 ...’Since I’ve Been Loving You’ is mesmerising. Just magical.
G
Queffelec, Dalberto, Devoyon & Gauthier, Bach Concerto for 4 pianos and Concertos fo 3 pianos, Original vinyl
Fancied some more Baroque, lovely flowing versions of Bach’s Concertos for multiple pianos.
Procol Harum STILL THERE'LL BE MORE anthology 1967-2017 50th anniversary package of CDs, DVDs live concerts and remastered on Esoteric Recordings. Brilliant, innovative original, even qwerky
Can't stop listening and Gary Brooker MBE still going strong even in his 70s. Never had the recognition he deserves

Probably the most emotional moment in the concert
