On the eve of a new year, it's time for a new thread.
Last year's thread can be found here:
Kalichstein-Laredo-Robinson Trio & ECO, Beethoven Triple Concerto, Original U.K. vinyl
Not one of Beethoven’s most popular works, but I love it. Played by 3 soloists who work well together, it’s a lovely combination of piano trio and Concertos, beautiful tunes and happiness. The K-L-R trio had been together for over a decade by the time of this recording, and it shows, beautiful interplay, they also bond well with the orchestra, a lovely disc.

Brilliant drumming from Pete Erskine on Third World Man. ????
Vinyl released 1974 - Produce by John Lennon and done over the famous lost weekend sessions were everyone was stoned. Nilsson ruptured his vocal chords taking Lennon on in a singing match. He never told him and carried on with the recordings. He eventually lost his voice and never recovered. ????
Playing on Vinyl on Mainstream Records 1973 - Seriously good dose of AfroFunk from Soul Makossa
Playing on Compact Disc on Naxos - Gourgous Guitar - Flute - Harpsichord and Violin
Another interesting album of Avishai...
Van Morrison - The Philosopher's Stone.
I've been building up my Van library, starting from scratch, and this one was recommended by NigelB.
Haven't stopped playing it since it's arrival some days ago, and it might well end up being my favourite.
Lovely laid back bluesy album .............. thanks for the shout, Nigel.
1974 - vinyl - UK first pressing...
Guilty pleasure!
Playing on Compact Disc on Pias cooperative Records 2013 - Nice album by United States Band The Eels
Track 9. Played a bit loud. Getting rid of those pesky Phonons.
On a bit of a mid-eighties trio at the moment.
