Turns out there's loads of interruptions to pure Aretha, with a bunch of other singers, who ain't Aretha .......... attempting / ruining
duets with the Queen of Soul, before things get back on track.
Sorry chaps.

Great call, Steve. Haven’t listened to that for quite sometime. Thanks for the reminder.
From the box set:
Hiss Golden Messenger - Lateness of Dancers. Just getting into this, although I've had it for a while. There is a touch of Dylan about his voice. The music reminds me a little bit of JJ Cale.
Mark Knopfler
Get Lucky - CD Rip
Edward
Quincy jones - The Birth Of a Band, big bands don't come better than this.Super version of "Moanin'".
Marvin Gaye - What's Going On. It's been a day of oldies, Aretha, The Doors, and now Marvin Gaye. A classic album for sure.
Listening to loadsa stuff to wear in the new DVXX2mkII.
Tonight: Fun Loving' Criminals: Come find yourself
Bryan Ferry: Bete Noir
ABC: Up
Arstidir: Svefns og voku skil
Getting there. Only another 48 hours of vinyl to go.

Annie Lennox - Diva
Streaming on NAS......... arriving home and random pick on the NAS, taking out Annie for a spin. Fantastic vocals on the opening track 'Why' an instant pick me up and some toe tapping underway with the second track 'Walking on Broken Glass!' Always nice when a song or two and lift you up and put a smile on your face...........
The Doors - The Doors on reissue 1980 vinyl. Continuing with The Doors. Can't seem to locate this album on on The River. I'm looking for the 40th Anniversary CD (2007) mix. I have the rest of their albums from that 2007 reissue release, happy with the sound quality.
Zapp-The New Zapp VI U
What the funk?????
This gets my vote as his best live album:
Now Playing.........

Streaming on NAS........... A mention earlier from TED_P of a Mark Knopfler album prompted me to pick out one of Mark's album for a spin. He doesn't have a bad one, their may be a favorite, but I like everyone I have heard, a fantastic musician!
Now Playing.........

Breakfast on R3. We've just had a short poem by Hardy read by Alan Bates. Mozart now. All very ably presented by Petroc Trelawny and all a welcome alternative to Today.
All my Aretha Albums random playlist streamed from NAS
First Track
Classy soul compilation. Loving Arms by Irma Thomas is superb.
