What are you listening to and WHY might anyone be interested? (Vol. XIV)

On the eve of a new year, it's time for a new thread.
Last year's thread can be found here:
Ma’s third, and by his own admission last, recording of the Bach suites is excellent, one of the most enjoyable recordings I’ve heard in years. His way with the suites appears uncomplicated and melodic, but the way he holds attention until the last note without a single lapse can only come from years of study and familiarity with how each phrase fits in the overal picture. Great sound, too.
Listened as CD-R from download.
cheers
EJ

I also can’t see it, so something must be wrong with the posts.

Having mentioned this the other day on the 'Albums which blew you away on first play' thread, I thought I'd give it a spin to see how it holds up today. I think Pete Townshend captured something very special indeed when he conceived this masterpiece. The Stars were well and truly aligned. So does it still do it for me? Of course it does!
