What are you listening to and WHY might anyone be interested? (Vol. XIV)

On the eve of a new year, it's time for a new thread.
Last year's thread can be found here:
The Allman Brothers Band - Eat A Peach (1972). MQA Tidal.
Now Playing.........
Avishai Cohen - After The Big Rain
Avishai Cohen (trumpet & FXs), Lionel Loueke (guitar, vocals), Jason Lindner (keyboards, fender rhodes), Omer Avital (acoustic bass), Daniel Freedman (drums, percussion), Yosvany Terry (chekere).
Streaming on TIDAL......... Following up with a little more of Avi and his wonderful trumpet playing. Nice album with African influences.
Now playing.........
Ralph Towner - Azimuth
John Taylor (piano, synthesizer), Norma Winstone (voice), Kenny Wheeler (trumpet, flugelhorn) and Ralph Towner (12-string guitar, classical guitar).
Streaming on NAS......... Listening to the fine Azimuth Quartet since it fits the mood and the pace of my mind on this late Monday afternoon. Norma vocals playing off the trumpet of Kenny is sweet! Enjoying this........
Now Playing........
Bill Frisell - The Sweetest Punch the new songs of Elvis Costello and Burt Bacharach
Bill Frisell (acoustic guitar, electric guitar), Viktor Krauss (bass), Don Byron (clarinet, bass clarinet), Brian Blade (drums, percussion), Curtis Fowlkes (trombone), Ron Miles (trumpet), Elvis Costello (vocals on tracks 2 & 10) and Cassandra Wilson (vocals on tracks 5 & 10).
Streaming on NAS........ Love Bill Frisell for all the many different projects he undertakes. In the 'Sweetest Punch' Elvis Costello sent Bill demos of every song on 'Painted From Memory' after they were completed. Bill then writes new arrangements of the songs from the 'Painted From Memory' album. Elvis Costello sings on two tracks, "Toledo" and "I Still Have That Other Girl," the latter a duet with Cassandra Wilson. ........also kept with the theme of having a trumpet player, in this case 'Ron Miles', on each of the last four albums I played today.
The Doors. Morrison Hotel (1970). On remastered CD from 2006 (Perception box set). This release contains 40th Anniversary alternate mixes and ten outtakes. I prefer the original release, but this one is fun for an occasional listen and the SQ is VG.
Now playing..........
Ketil Bjornstad - The Sea
Ketil Bjørnstad (piano), David Darling (cello), Terje Rypdal (guitars) and Jon Christensen (drums).
Streaming on NAS......... A recent purchase and taking out for a second spin, wonderful music and fantastic interplay among the quartet, the opening track is fantastic and believe this will be an album that gets better with time played.
Beck. The Information. On CD from 2006. Prescription Beck; funk, groove, and rhythm in droves.
Prompted by a mention in the 'died too young' thread. Inspired playing.
Had this yesterday on in the car, quite different, but not bad...
Interesting start of the day..

DrMark,
Thanks for posting. I had somehow completely missed this album being released (during our lack of sleep first baby years!). Oversight rectified and a secondhand CD copy winging its way to me via MusicMagpie, for the princely sum of £1.52!
Playing on Compact Disc on Naxos - Not familiar with this composer but went threw a stage of buying 3-4 Naxos Compact Disc's a week and pleased about this one as it's really good.
Playing on Cassette on TDK SA - X C90 - Enjoying this Bob Marley from 1977....Exodus movement of Jah people
Pink Floyd - Dark Side of the Moon. On reissued 2016 vinyl, started the day with this classic.
Now playing........
Carla Bley - Trios
Carla Bley (piano), Andy Sheppard (tenor saxophone, soprano saxophone) and Steve Swallow (bass).
Streaming on NAS....... starting Tuesday morning with Carla, the first track 'Utviklingssang' is a wonderful beautiful piece of music that is perfect to open the day with, wow!
