On the eve of a new year, it's time for a new thread.
Last year's thread can be found here:
Traditional and Public Domain Songs, from Bandcamp. Solo guitar, lots of feedback, drone, vibrato.

Rickie Lee ones - The Evening of My Best Day
Streaming on NAS........... recent arrival in the mail, now ripped to NAS and taking out for a spin. This is one fantastic album, lots of guests with great music and lyrics!
It's a gourgous album. As you say Seakayaker brilliant lyrics and music.I love Ugly Man especially the music.Must dig my copy out as haven't played it in a while - top stuff from Rikki.
Today's soundtrack
Grand Funk Railroad: Grand Funk
(Is there any way a person can listen to Inside Looking Out with the volume cranked and not feel like a cool dude?) ... don't answer that.
Grand Funk Railroad: Shinin' On
(worth it for the title track alone)
If I'm honest, A GFR 12 disc box set has been the only thing getting play time in my home for 3 weeks now. The kids are sick of it. My wife is sick of it. I can't get enough of it.
Keith Jarrett - Shostakovich: 24 Preludes and Fugues, Op. 87
Needs a couple of runs more to be able to decide if I buy...
Ensemble Marsyas - Edinburgh 1742
Nice baroque music from Handel and the lesser known Barsanti.
Playing on Compact Disc on Archiv Records - Gourgous Bach Sonatas to get Friday in the office going
Lee Ritenour & Dave Grusin - Two worlds
Classical music played by jazz musicians. With help from Renee Fleming, Gil Shaham and Julian Lloyd Webber. Very nicely done!
Playing on Compact Disc on Naxos - Very nice Vivaldi Flute Concertos
As I enjoyed volume 1 so much I went back online and got a used copy of volume 2 off the river. The container box is a bit worn but the disc itself is in perfect condition and sounds wonderful.
What an absolute belter!
Lee Ritenour - Live in L.A.
- Bass – Melvin Davis
- Drums – Sonny Emory
- Guitar – Lee Ritenour
- Keyboards – Barnaby Finch
- Piano, Organ [Hammond B3], Electric Piano [Rhodes] – Alan Pasqua
- Tenor Saxophone, Soprano Saxophone – Bill Evans (3)
Enjoying a shuffle of ‘77, ‘79 and ‘80.
(‘78 is on its way!)
great value on the river at the moment at a fiver each and there are enough tracks I don’t have elsewhere to make them all worthwhile.

Playing on Compact Disc - Having a Rockin' Friday Office afternoon - Always enjoy this Ronnie James Dio Sabs album.
Now Playing..........
Stefano Bollani - Stone in the Water
Stefano Bollani (piano), Jesper Bodilsen (double bass) and Morten Lund (drums).
Streaming on NAS......... Finished yesterday and beginning today with Stefano and enjoy his music quite a bit. I find 'Stone in the Water' a softer, more soothing group of compositions then his 'Joy In Spite of Everything' album. Both fantastic albums and always worth the time to give a listen!
Playing on Compact Disc - Cracking album by The Red Hot Chilli Peppers
Now playing.........
Tears for Fears - Elemental
Streaming on NAS......... stepping back in time 25 years for some pop music from the early 90's, hopefully help me to get my body in motion and get out the door! .......and into the rain which we have not seen in awhile!
Grant Green - Green Street - CD Rip.

Tabby cat, sadly their partnership ended around 2012 I think so they could both tread newer grounds. Both are still going. Indeed, I saw Bukem (live) earlier in June this year, need less to say he was absolutely amazing and I must of lost a good stone in sweat from all the dancing. Highly recommended!!
Sarah Blasko - "Depth Of Field" (2018)
Now Playing.........
Tord Gustavsen - The Other Side
Tord Gustavsen (piano), Sigurd Hole (double bass) and Jarle Vespestad (drums).
Streaming on TIDAL....... I have had this on preorder but saw this on the new album releases section on TIDAL so taking it out for a spin. Opening track is wonderful and looking forward to the rest of the album!
