On the eve of a new year, it's time for a new thread.
Last year's thread can be found here:
Some delightful Norah Jones before cooking dinner.

Must play that again soon. It has some powerful dynamics if my memory serves me correctly.

The Long Run
Imgur playing up again tonight, this one is a 24/96 WAV released a few years ago. Not everyone's favourite Eagles album but one that I've always enjoyed.

Yes, Steve. For a couple of days now, I've found that while I can post links to images already uploaded to my account, I can't upload any more. When I try it just hangs saying "....uploading image", which it doesn't.
M
Dawes - "Password" (2018)
First, seven of the Berlin Philharmonic on R3.
Now, The News Quiz on R4. Good skit on Scallop Wars just now. "They [scallops] are basically French. They are an aphrodisiac and they come with their own built-in ashtray".
(1982)
Rio
A fine old banger because it takes me back to some great fun times, parties and gigs with the girlfriends of old one of which phoned up today and had a nice long chat with SWMBO.
Now playing.......
Bill Frisell - The Best of Bill Frisell, Volume 1: Folk Songs
Bill Frisell (electric and acoustic guitars, loop), Danny Barnes (banjo, Jerry Douglas (dobro), Greg Leisz (dobro, pedal steel guitar), Ry Cooder (electric and Ripley guitar), Wayne Horvitz (organ), Viktor Krauss (bass), Keith Lowe (bass), Kermit Driscoll (bass), David Pitch (bass), Jim Keltner (drums, percussion), Joey Baron (drums), Kenny Wollesen (drums).
Streaming on TIDAL...... taking out Bill for a spin on this Friday morning, some easy listening instrumentals with some of his friends, ......sounding mighty fine!
Josh Rouse - "Love In The Modern Age" (2018)
Ike Quebec - Heavy soul
- Bass – Milt Hinton
- Drums – Al Harewood
- Organ – Freddie Roach
- Tenor Saxophone – Ike Quebec
On vinyl
Why? Hmmm...seemed like a good idea...and it was.

Josh Rouse - Country Mouse City House
Inspired by Jeff, above. Besides Hollywood Bass Player is such a feelgood classic.
One of Seal's best, in my view.
Playing on Compact Disc - Love this debut album by NYC band Interpol - Slightly melancholy lyrics backed up by guitar work ,worthy of Television and atmosphere in spades
Second listening of Madeleine Peyroux’s new album, Anthem. Getting me in a wonderfully mellow mood, helped by a glass of Glenn Livet! Can’t wait to see her live in November.

New album isn't bad either.

Always enjoyed this myself Steve. It was actually one of the most returned to record shops pieces of vinyl when released. Pressings were absolutely shocking however sq was pretty good.
Now Playing........
Chely Wright - I Am the Rain
Streaming on TIDAL....... Its been awhile since I have taken Chely out for a spin and wow she is sounding mighty sweet!
Interesting will have to hear it more
I think this will be often on my ND555, great album, more boogie as usual with Tord...
Portico Quartet - Art in the Age of Automation
Bert, anyone, I'm not one to comment on this normally but superb sound quality or recording, or both.
Now, Jack DeJohnette - Earth Walk
A more analogue feel from 1991. Good but different.
