On the eve of a new year, it's time for a new thread.

Bert, anyone, I'm not one to comment on this normally but superb sound quality or recording, or both.
Now, Jack DeJohnette - Earth Walk
A more analogue feel from 1991. Good but different.
Yeah this one is on my wish list. However I wasn’t yet motivated enough. Found their first two albums more exciting...
Tony Bennett - The Beat of My Heart, I was blown away by this when I first heard my father's vinyl copy. Issued in '57 Bennett is backed by some stellar musicians ,with percussionists of the calibre of Art Blakey to the fore , on a selection of popular songs.
Spiritualized
Quite odd, but nice album...
Now playing.........
k. d. lang - hymns of the 49th parallel
Streaming on NAS......... a recent purchase and taking out for another spin, fantastic voice and doing a fantastic job covering her fellow Canadian citizens! .....a very sweet album......

A mellow evening of listening - all on CD.

Now, more Nick Drake -
(released 1969, CD is from 2000)
Lost In The Trees - Alone in an Empty House
(2010)
The Best of Simon & Garfunkel. On CD from 1999. Twenty brilliant tracks from a vintage era featuring (perhaps) America's most talented tunesmith.
Bert Schurink posted:I think this will be often on my ND555, great album, more boogie as usual with Tord...
It is possibly my album of the year so far.

Interesting offering. Thanks for the heads up!
Now Playing..........
Charles Lloyd - Sangam
Charles Lloyd (saxophone, tarogato, flute, piano, percussion), Zakir Hussain (tabla, percussion) and Eric Harland (drums, percussion, piano).
Streaming on NAS.......... Finishing off the evening with Charles Lloyd and the wonderful album Sangam!
Pink Floyd. Animals (1977). CD remaster from 1992. I always love this one. Could be the group's most under-appreciated album.
Not a name you see very often now, but this is a listenable album of standards.
Coming from this American in Paris set...
