On the eve of a new year, it's time for a new thread.
Last year's thread can be found here:
Various - Peter's Friends, the Soundtrack album, without looking at the sleeve you can probably guess 75% of the tracks chosen.Still a nice easy listen.
Well if your a fan of the Cocteaus you have to be in to This Mortal Coil, It'll end in Tears from 1987, lots of good stuff on this including a stunning version of Tim Buckley’s Song to the Siren by Lisa Gerrard. WAV rip.
Speaking of Tim Buckley, Greetings from LA, great album from Jeffs dad. Have an original vinyl copy somewhere with the pop out postcard. WAV rip.

TAPP - Time. Most definitely more laid back and chilled than the Floyds Time.
Time is not a 'laid back and chilled' tune. It is an angry song, full of despair and regret. TAPP's version completely misses the point IMO.
Could have been Alan's intention to miss the point. Just let it flow around it like a river, man. Sea will become one at some point..

Totally agree, Song to the Siren is guaranteed to send shivers down my spine every time. Sometimes it is possible to hear a song to the point that it loses its 'specialness' but not this one.
Dave Brubeck - Greatest Hits.

TMC are a bit of a curates egg. By far the best overall album was the Blood" one.
