What are you listening to and WHY might anyone be interested? (Vol. XIV)

On the eve of a new year, it's time for a new thread.
Last year's thread can be found here:
Vinyl released 2007 - A great album from great band. ????
Pink Floyd - Dark Side of the Moon
Reminded about it by something elsewhere on the forum. This is late seventies vinyl. Don't seem to have the poster and the postcards anymore. Not too worried. Still a heck of a record.

I do! IIRC they aren’t postcards, but postcard sized stickers. Somehow I must have had two copies as the original posters went up on my bedroom wall.

To explain, the new avatar is a fond recollection of a converstation with a friend over some item of Naim arcana where he suggested I was being a typical Naim sheep. I replied along the lines, 'oh yes, if Naim made underwear I'd have a few pairs'. Even today, an occasional riposte between us is 'underpants!'
Playing on Compact Disc on Naxos - Gourgous Vivaldi Recorder Concertos
Four Tet - Pause
I have three of his. They are all different but I prefer this one.
Janine Jansen - Bach: Inventions & Partita
- Janine Jansen - Violin
- Maxim Rysanov - Viola
- Torleif Thedeen - Cello
A Tribe Called Quest - The Low End Theory
The great thing about Tidal is you can listen too stuff that you may not have been brave enough to buy but now realise, hey this ain't bad.
A random vinyl shelf pick. From 1988, on Rough Trade, the second album by Columbus, Ohio all-female trio Scrawl. Lo-fi, but very, very good. I'd forgotten I even had this:
Ali Farka Toure & Toumani Diabate - In The Heart Of The Moon.
Still trying to encourage the sun to put in an appearance here, in gloomy, overcast North Yorks.
Forerunner of Ali and Toumani's album above ^^^^, this is every bit as splendiferous, but, bizarrely, seems not be on Tidal, though,
for not much at all, you can capture it on The River.
Cheers Dave you have made me get this Ali Farka Toure album on - Playing on Compact Disc on World Circuit Records 1996 and sounding very nice.....Shame the English heatwave is over

Hi Tabby,
Well, if you like that, you'll just lurve this one.
Ali Farka Toure - The Source.
More funky desert blues from the master, and available for not much at all over on The River.
Al Green - Greatest Hits
Prompted by [@mention:32118649281211395]'s post above, Tribe's debut LP, on original UK vinyl.
A J Ghent Band - Live At Terminal West.
Another forum recommendation, this is just a non-stop party, live rockin' album, with some great Hendrix tinted guitar work.
Brad Mehldau trio - Anything goes
Strong album from the Brad Mehldau trio which includes Radiohead's "Everything in Its Right Place" and Paul Simon's "Still Crazy After All These Years".
Playing on Compact Disc - Great Blues Rock from Garry Clark Junior
Another hip-hop classic. On original 1989 vinyl. They don't make 'em like this any more, sadly.
Now Playing............
John Taylor - Angel of the Presence
John Taylor (piano), Martin France (drums) and Palle Danielson (bass).
Streaming on NAS.......... A recent purchase and something very nice to start the day, the fine piano playing of John Taylor!

Sometimes, words just aren't required:
