On the eve of a new year, it's time for a new thread.
Last year's thread can be found here:
Playing on Compact Dis on Naxos Records - What better to get this gourgous sunny English morning than some rousing Vivaldi and Bach
Stones - Rarities 1971-2003
Never too early to hear Charlie's foot go down.
Playing on Cassette on Maxell ULS C60 - Live garage psychedelia from The Seeds from 1968
Amy Winehouse - Back To Black
Playing on Compact Disc on Naxos - So relaxing Mozart Piano concertos
Now Playing...................
Don Cherry - Dona Nostra
Don Cherry (trumpet), Lennart Ã…berg (tenor saxophone, soprano saxophone, alto flute), Bobo Stenson (piano), Anders Jormin (bass), Anders Kjellberg (drums) and Okay Temiz (percussion).
Streaming on NAS......... a recent purchase, ripped to NAS and now taking out Don and friends out for a spin. The first track 'In Memoriam' is a wonderful eye opener to start the day, easy paced, smooth & sweet, just perfect!
Playing on Compact Disc on Rhymes of an Hour Records - Really lovely Solo album by Mazzy Stars Hope Sandoval from 2001 - If you like the Mazzy Star albums this definatly worth a play
Justin Currie - "Lower Reaches" (2014)
Now Playing.........
Dominic Miller - Silent Light
Dominic Miller (guitar, electric bass) and Miles Bould (drums, percussion).
Streaming on NAS......... its been a few months since the last time I played 'Silent Light' so I am taking it out for a spin. Dominic, as usual, is sounding mighty sweet this morning, enjoy this album quite a bit!
Playing on Cassette on TDK AD C60 - Rocking album by Thin Lizzy from 1979
Arve Henriksen - Cartography
Why? I caught a snatch of him on Late Junction yesterday evening playing a piece he had written celebrating the Humber bridge.
Houndmouth - "Little Neon Limelight" (2015)
Playing on Compact Disc - Great live Depeche Mode recorded live from THe Faith and Devotion World Tour
Bob Marley & The Wailers - Legend
24/96 Flac
Not one for compilations but this one has got to be one of the best
Earth Volume 4 - still very much a CD man when it comes to music like this as it's just simply not available for down load. Sounds superb regardless.

Don't disagree, but get a copy of "Natural Mystic" & you might be a bit undecided.
Double vinyl released 2012 - Excellent album.????
First Norah Jones - Feels Like Home
Next Lyle Lovett - Joshua Judges Ruth
Lovely stuff by Norah, and this has become my favourite Lyle Lovett album. Belters, the pair of them.....
Secret quartet - Bloor street
Nice jazz by the secret quartet. Unfortunately, they only recorded one album (as far as I know).
MARTIN SPEAKE alto saxophone
NIKKI ILES piano
DUNCAN HOPKINS double bass
ANOTHONY MICHELLI drums
Had already a great soundstage on the NDS. The soundstage has now become massive...
(1967)
The Rolling Stones - Flowers
From the rather good hi-res mono box-set. This was a mis-mash of fine singles and tracks from various albums released in the US and UK, some critics were outraged but what the heck it makes for a fine album today and fifty plus years on I'm sure the critics might let bygones be bygones...
Tom Waits - Heartattack and Vine
Stunning album
(1971)
The 'Stones - Sticky Fingers
Fast forwarding fifteen years and they were still knocking out belters.
Tori Amos - Little Earthquakes
