What are you listening to and WHY might anyone be interested? (Vol. XIV)

On the eve of a new year, it's time for a new thread.
Last year's thread can be found here:
Having heard the lounge version of All Cats are Grey earlier, it's great to hear the vinyl original on The Cure's Faith, the first time for a very long time!
Viktoria Mullova, Boston SO under Seiji Ozawa, Sibelius Violin Xoncerto, Original U.K. vinyl
Same year (986) as the Kennedy above, he’s 3 years older than Mullova, looks about 20 years younger in the covers, he doesn’t look 30, she looks like an adult, Viktoria Mulliva is my favourite violinist of my generation, she really nails the Sibelius for me, just brings our all the emotion and musicality.
Alban Berg Quartet, Beethoven’s String Quartet No. 16 Op. 135, Original U.K. vinyl box Set.
Op 135 is my favourite piece of instrumental music, (pretension warning). For me late Beethoven ranks with late Rembrandt and Shakespeare, the greatest artists exposing human soul in their art, the late Beethoven Quartets and Piano Sonatas for me show humanity as much as any music could. And for my taste, Number 16shows the human conflict and the joy of resolution in a beautiful form that raises my soul, and in this studio recording the Bergs nail it, a desert island disc for me.
Vinyl released 1975 - Young’s finest album. ????
John Murry - The Graceless Age. This featured in a lot of critics end of year best releases lists (around 2012 or 2013 I think). It's quite a dark album, both lyrically and musically, but it is well worth a listen. If you read up on him, he seems to have had quite a few difficulties in his life and the lyrics cover some of this. I find it hard to describe the music on this - the best I can do is to say this seems to fall somewhere between Jason Isbell and Nick Cave. The version I have has a bonus disc and the tracks on this are just as good as the main disc.
Bob Dylan - The Freewheelin’ Bob Dylan - cheapo early ‘80s vinyl
This album starts with Blowing in the Wind, and side 1 finishes with A Hard Rain’s A’gonna Fall, acoustic gittar, harmonica, Dylan’s voice, and some of the greatest songs ever written, lyrics that really mean something, and music that shows their power. American folk, by a master.
CD. Prokofiev - Complete Works For Cello And Piano - Alexander Ivashkin (cello), Tatyana Lazareva (piano)
Tidal. Paul Simon - In the Blue Light (Mentioned by David O'Higgins in another thread)

Embarrassingly I know the artist name but can't place a single I remember at all. Were there any collaborations that might have charted?
Just listening to your earlier album suggestions - thoroughly enjoyable, many thanks.
Just finishing.......
James McMurtry - Complicated Game
Streamed on NAS........... Relaxing to the wonderful vocals, music and lyrics from James! A fantastic album, great folk/rock Americana........
Now Playing.......
James McMurtry - Candyland
Streamed on NAS........... Continuing on with James........ Candyland puts rock more on the forefront but love his vocals, music and lyrics on all his albums.
I think this is a really good album of theirs that flies under the radar - nice collection of good pop tunes:

Not sure if any of the songs charted from Speak Low but he did have twenty-three day tour through 8 cities at the time of release playing at smaller venue jazz clubs. Boz is currently on the west coast touring with his recent release.......... these older musicians in their 70's that are still out there performing continue to amaze me!
Golden Earring. Moontan. Early vinyl from 1973. There were some fantastic rock albums released in 1973, this among them.

So much better than their follow up Truth is a Beautiful thing which I can't get on with and haven't played more than 2 or 3 times.
I have the 45rpm double LP of If You Wait which is also sonically very, very good.
Led Zeppelin. In Through The Outdoor. On original vinyl from 1979. One of the dominant albums during my junior year of high school.
During my workout. Great album, already raved about it before. A lot of you would appreciate this.
