Some relaxing and mellow sounds from Richard Hawley with his album Hollow Meadows. I've had this a while, but not got round to playing it much, so I am rectifying that now. Sounding very good.
Thanks for the reminder of this. I played it via Tidal a while ago and probably wasn't in the right mood. Am playing now via Tidal and have just snapped up the CD from the river for very few squids.
This is a classy and absorbing album. Nice one.
Yes, it didn't grab me on a first listen, but I really enjoyed it tonight.
This is a great album, quite different from a lot of his other work...
Has to be one of my albums of the year.

Quite enjoying this on my CD5si.

Alison Krauss - A Hundred Miles or More: A Collection
Streaming on NAS.......... arrived earlier today, ripped to NAS and taking it out for a spin. I have have listened to this album via Tidal a couple of times and picked it up used for a great price on the river. Alison vocals are outstanding and offers sixteen songs, five of them new with the others representing previous collaborations or releases without the Union Station. An album worth the time to set aside and give this album a listen! Simply sweet & fantastic!
The Doobie Brothers. What Were Once Vices Are Now Habits. On original vinyl from 1974. Cozy, tubey sonics. Comfortably groovy American blue-eyed soul. Like a slice of warm apple pie for the ears.
Beck. Colors. On red vinyl from 2017. You're never quite sure what you're going to get from Beck, except that it's going to be good music full of funk and rhythm. I like this album a lot and the sound plays BIG in my room.
Live at WFMU.
Love the way they use old radio adverts before each song starts.
The Bee Gees- In the Morning.
Lars Danielsson - Tarantella
Even R3 is wittering this morning, not just R4. This abum is tried and tested at times like this before work
Vinyl released 1985 - Excellent jazz funk album from Wilton Felder to start the day off. ????
John Butt & Dunedin Consort - Bach: Brandenburg consertos
Great music by Bach. Great Peformance by John Butt and the Dunedin Consort. Great recording quality by Linn.
