On the eve of a new year, it's time for a new thread.
Last year's thread can be found here:
Richard Thompson- 13 Rivers, vinyl released today
Arrived earlier today, Just time for a first listen before going away for the weekend. What you’d expect, intelligent dark lyrics, superb arrangements, great rhythm section, masterful guitar work, well sung. He’s one of the finest musicians living as a singer-songwriter and as a guitarist, and he’s produced another excellent album here. It’ll get a lot more plays at Eoink Mansions.
Paul Weller - New Meanings.
Beautiful heavy card cover usually only found on very expensive reissues and original vinyl from the sixties and early seventies.
Beautifull flat pressing unfortunately have only listened to the opening track which is sonically very good and very well mastered.
I will report more later but this is a quality product beautifully presented.
Mazzy Star. Seasons Of Your Day.
Recentish 2013 release. Dark and breezy from the lush spangles.
Bob Marley live stream of a concert from his Kaya tour courtesy of the Marley family.
Vinyl released 1977 - One of Eric’s finest. ????
2000 - Vinyl - UK pressing...
It took Yorke's nervous breakdown to come up with this stupendous album.

The promo copies of the vinyl had a tone signal recorded on to the vinyl which meant you couldn't record it on to tape of any kind.
I was challenged to record off the vinyl but not matter how I tried to do it all I got was a tone signal
First and only time as far as I am aware it was ever used.
1st run...
(1969)
Family Entertainment
Nigh on half a century old and still sounding great.
Laville, Easy
John Grant - Pale Green Ghosts
Fruity, melodic, in places calming, others disturbing. The only one of his I have so I have nothing to compare it with. Except that is seems nothing like anything else I have.
Mr Fingers. Cerebral Hemispheres.
I've quite a few Tori albums. This one is my favourite.
Vinyl released 1970 - Difficult to follow their first two albums, but The Band delivered a very fine third studio album. Darker than the other two but there’s a lot of great stuff on this album. ????
Ripped CD
For me, the best thing about the forum is not the discussions about whether the absence of a Powerline makes the system "unlistenable", but when members alert me to excellent new music offerings such as this one. Just arrived yesterday, and airing it out as hurricane Florence begins its entry into my area:
Thanks to whoever posted this and seeded me investigating it. Excellent SQ on this recording too...
This is great stuff from the old bloke’s latest

If you like that you need to get his Neo Blues Project album.

Forgot about the above album which if memory serves me was the first album he played on.
Have a listen you might like it.
