On the eve of a new year, it's time for a new thread.
Last year's thread can be found here:

Thanks to whoever posted this and seeded me investigating it. Excellent SQ on this recording too...
'Twas I who posted this one, but it was Ewemon who put me onto this wonderful band originally. They are just a sheer joy to listen to and they invite the listener to enjoy their music as much as they evidently do performing it.
Some early Dire Straits on a lovely Japanese SHM CD.

If you like that you need to get his Neo Blues Project album.
Ewen, I have been searching for Neo Blues Project ever since you first posted it but because it was difficult to get hold of and was expensive I settled for Live At Terminal West, and a fine live album it is too.
Prompted by these recent post, I have just checked the River again and Neo Blues Project is available now pre loved at a reasonable price so snapped a copy up.
Thanks for the reminder.
Another beautiful release from Sarah Davachi. CD Ordered.
Gary Clark Jr first album Worry No More.

Nigel think wehn they originally released Neo Blues it was a cdr but since it has become popular he might have got some pressings done.
Try the Col Bruce Hampton album. Not quitr the same but AJ's guitar is all over certain trax on it.
My fav Hall and Oates album. They were an excellent live band.

Dear sir;
its from this period on that they , by abandon the psychedelic fever, gain their “classic” signature sound.
Like this phase a lot ( trilogy Meedle/DSOTM/ WYWH). Probably their zenith as a group.
????
Five Horse Johnson- Blues for Henry album
Amy Winehouse - Frank, first play after picking it up for a nominal fee.
One of my fav Gerry Rafferty albums that for some reason was not well liked when it came out.
Now playing.......
Richard Thompson - 13 Rivers
Streaming on TIDAL......... a mention from DOCBOT & EWEMON above had me place this in the Tidal queue and now taking this new release out for its first spin. The opening track 'The Storm Won't Come' is sounding mighty fine! .......and loving all these gentleman my age and older still releasing fantastic albums!

2000 - Vinyl - UK pressing...
It took Yorke's nervous breakdown to come up with this stupendous album.
Got to be honest: this is a band that, for me , it’s only surpassed by PF.
(let’s forget the Beatles /as the GOAT )
this is only of the few that I recognize real transformation/ phases in their career.
like Floyd, as opposite to the large majority of the bands , it haves 2/3 maybe 4 different stages.
Having said that, this specific period is one of the most hard to assimilate: like you said, Tony it is a result of a U turn on their sound. Didn’t know was because of a breakdown.????
their next album Amnesiac , from what I found out, is a part II of the same recording sessions...
”scary?!” ????
A bunch of trax off the above due out sometime Oct.
Carpenters - Their Greatest Hits,
Now Playing.......................
Brian Blade & The Fellowship Band - Season of Changes
Brian Blade (drums), Jon Cowherd (piano, pump organ, Moog, Wurlitzer), Kurt Rosenwinkel (guitar), Myron Walden (alto saxophone, bass clarinet), Melvin Butler (tenor saxophone) and Chris Thomas (bass).
Streaming on NAS.......... a recent pick up at Fat Cat Records and taking out for a spin. Really enjoy Brian Blade & The Fellowship Band and will be on the lookout for more of his albums, some sweet music!
Now Playing.........................
Suzanne Vega - Days of open Hand
Streaming on NAS.......... a recent purchase and taking out for its first spin........ lovely vocals and sounding mighty fine on the opening track 'Tired of Sleeping' and look forward to the rest of the album!
George Harrison. Eponymous eighth studio album on original vinyl from 1979. Never played much in my youth, I now very much enjoy lost time with this lovely album.
Now Playing.................
Cara Dillon - A Thousand Hearts
Streaming on TIDAL......... I took Cara's 'Wanderer' album for a spin earlier today and enjoyed it quite a bit. So randomly picking another album from the album list in TIDAL and giving it a spin, possibly the last album of the day........
The Rolling Stones. Some Girls. Early vinyl from 1978 with original cover. By far my favorite Stones album.

The last really good Stones record IMO and sonically very good especially on vinyl. It was released at the end of a 10 year purple patch for Jagger and Richards that included some truly great records, Tatoo You had a couple of good tracks but it really did see the end of The Rolling Stones as an album band.
Ornette Coleman: On Tenor.
