What are you listening to and WHY might anyone be interested? (Vol. XIV)

On the eve of a new year, it's time for a new thread.
Last year's thread can be found here:
It has Steve Morse on it but it’s actually a lot of Dixie Dreggs....
Elvis Costello - The Best of the First 10 Years, brilliant comp
Mixed feeling with this, will have to listen a couple of times...
Chet Baker trio - Someday my prince will come
- Chet Baker - Trumpet
- Niels-Henning Orsted Pedersen - Bass
- Doug Raney - Guitar
Sticking with the BBC theme - original UK 1990 vinyl. The 1982 session (containing two tracks never performed elsewhere) is one of the best things they ever did:
Dire Straits - On Every Street. I have come to enjoy this album more as I realised in hindsight that some of the tracks were a pointer to his solo work.
First spin of the morning, to go with the early fog outside:
Led Zeppelin III. Vinyl, first UK pressing on the pink & plumb Atlantic label. Fresh from a clean and sounding surprisingly good given it’s age and how it sounded before a deep groove wash - and although not quite free of surface noise, not far off. Superb result.
Dug this out as I haven't played it in sometime. Brilliant album
Clannad Banba, had forgotten I had this CD, fairly old now but a suprisingly good album, WAV rip
Now playing........
Cara Dillion - Hill of Thieves
Streaming on TIDAL............. last thing I heard before heading off to sleep last night was Cara's voice and thought it would be nice to wake up with her to start off the day. Sounding mighty sweet this morning!
Steve Winwood - Greatest Hits Live, what it says on the tin.
Now playing
Best album still to come, some evidence below:
Katie Melua - Secret Symphony
Streaming this one for the first time via Tidal.
Forget (you probably have already) Charlotte Church this lady has a voice like an angel.
Philippe Lemm Trio - New Amsterdam
Good modern jazz from this trio.
- Bass – Jeff Koch
- Drums – Philippe Lemm
- Piano – Angelo Di Loreto
Now Playing........
Sarah Jarosz - Follow Me Down
Streaming on TIDAL......... explored Sarah's 'Undercurrent' album yesterday and wanted to listen to more from her catalogue. Wonder vocals and music, quite enjoyable!
Wishing good things and safety forpatk in the Carolinas with hurricane/tropical storm pounding the coast and inland.
Playing on Vinyl on Greensleeves Records - Really good Dub from Augustus Pablo
Now playing.........
Sarah Jarosz - Build Me Up From Bones
Streaming on TIDAL.......... I am enjoying spending some time with Sarah this morning! Wonderful vocals & music!
Tortoise - It's all around you
Very fine electronica from a band I first heard on R3's Late Junction, oh, ten or twelve years ago.

LZIII is an excellent album which I also gave a spin this morning, albeit on CD.
1st run..
(1968 | 2018)
The Doors - 50th Anniversary remaster of Waiting For The Sun.
First listen to this one which was released and downloaded yesterday, two CD's a stereo remaster of the studio album and another with previously unreleased rough mixes and five live tracks from a gig in Copenhagen in September of that year.
Now playing.......
Fink - Distance And Time
Streaming on NAS.......... mixing a little Fink into the morning prior to running some errands. Love his music and lyrics and of course, fantastic vocals!
