On the eve of a new year, it's time for a new thread.
Last year's thread can be found here:
Muse Drones: because it has revealed just how much more detail the new upgrades are letting through, in particular the tunefulness and harmonics of the bass. A powerful and multi-layered recording on first pressing (heavy vinyl).
Bruce Dickinson
Tattooed Millionaire - CD Rip
Haven’t listened to this album for a while, good album.
I wonder what band I will be playing next.
Edward
Trio Transition
Trio Transition were a short-lived trio consisting of pianist Mulgrew Miller, bassist Reggie Workman, and drummer Frederick Waits; this is the first of the only two CDs they recorded for DIW prior to Waits' death in 1989. The play mainly originals. This is some very good maintstream jazz!
Playing on Cassette on TDK D C60 - Brilliant Synth Pop From Yazzo from 1983......Alison Moyet has got a big pair of lungs
Amy Wadge
Amy Wadge - Tidal HiFi
I was planning to listen to Iron Maiden “Fear Of The Dark” but after seeing the recommendation from NiGELB I had a quick listen to a track On Tidal HiFi and had to listen to the album.
This artist is new to me, but as you said talented gal.
Edward

Streaming on NAS........ Waking up with the 'Stefano Bollani Trio' and they are lifting me into the day. The album is sounding mighty fine this morning and is bringing a smile to my face! ......a wonderful trio.....
JOHN LENNON Rock 'N' Roll (1975 Japanese Apple label - vinyl
Nice jazz album from around 1964, good recording too
Ian Carr (t), Don Rendell (s), Colin Purbrook (p), Dave Green (b), Trevor Tomkins (d)
Ian Carr who was Miles Davis' biographer was no mean trumpet player himself.
Not the best recorded SQ live album i have in my collection however, its just wonderful to hear JL on stage live. Recorded 28th November 1974 it documents the night Lennon honored his promise to Elton by performing on stage with him if 'Whatever Gets You Thru The Night' became a number one hit - it did, and here's the evidence! Lennon performs on 'Whatever Gets You Through The Night', 'Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds' and a version of The Beatles 'I Saw Her Standing There', incredibly this was to be Lennon's last major public performance.
Vinyl.
Stevie Wonder - Innervisions.
Playing on Cassette on TDK SA X - C60 - Really loving this last album from Royal Blood from 2017 - What a sound from a drummer and a bass guitarist !
Finished playing..........
Tine Thing Helseth - Trumpet Concertos
Streaming on TIDAL........ Thanks to JEROEN20 for the recommendation, taking a Tine album out for a spin!
The Beatles - Let It Be... Naked
I was reminded of this earlier in the week when someone (Dan Steel?) was playing the Spector original version and mentioned this version. Whilst it's nice to hear these songs in a form which the Beatles might have preferred, the original version is so ingrained in my memory that it kind of seems wrong to hear it in this stripped back form. But I'll suffer for now!
