What are you listening to and WHY might anyone be interested? (Vol. XIV)

On the eve of a new year, it's time for a new thread.
Last year's thread can be found here:
Eric Clapton - From the Heart, a boot of a tour rehearsal from '94 in excellent SQ.Seem to remember I have the visuals to go with this on VHS
Monty Python in the shape of Terry Jones singing the 'I'm So Worried' song from the Monty Python Sings album
I had this one in my head this morning and through today so I just had to get it out there and give it a play.
(2015)
A fine bit of James McMurtry before shutting down, nicely filmed with this track from his Complicated Game album.
Frank Sinatra - No One Cares, considered to be Sinatra's darkest album and supposedly described as a selection of "suicide songs" by the artist himself.
Steely Dan - The Royal Scam (1976). On original vinyl. I always have time to listen to them. Haitian Divorce is one funky tune.
Now Playing.........
The Cowboy Junkies - The Caution Horses
Streaming on NAS......... A recent pickup and taking out for a spin and as usual the 'The Cowboy Junkies' are sounding wonderful! Enjoying this one quite a bit......
Now Playing.........
Jan Garbarek - Visible World
Jan Garbarek (soprano saxophone, tenor saxophone, electronic keyboard, percussion, maraaker clarinet, Rainer Brüninghaus (piano, synthesizer), Eberhard Weber (bass), Marilyn Mazur (percussion, drums), Manu Katché (drums), Trilok Gurtu (tabla) and Mari Boine (vocals).
Streaming on NAS........... I find this album to full of life and the music is beautiful! A perfect album to end the day.....
Trying it out, first piece unknown to me, nice

Will buy it this weekend. A fine collection, delicately played.
Beth Orton - Daybreaker
Naim set sounding glorious and sunlight filtering through trees outside, as I reach for a second coffee.
Elvis Costello & Burt Bacharach - Painted From Memory. CD Rip. A very interesting meeting of minds here and not something I often listen to, but when I do I thoroughly enjoy the album. Perfect to help ease into the working day after a sleep deprived night with the toddler.
PLaying on Compact Disc on Naxos - Nice enough Guitar compilation

My favourite Dan album. Every song is so well crafted and those two guitar solos from Larry Carlton on Kid Charlemagne are so well constructed. I wish I had an original vinyl copy.

My favourite Costello album, you can tell he is really trying with his vocals
John Mayer - Paradise Valley.
Japan - Ghosts. CD rip. Japan at their best perhaps - there’s always something new to hear. The track Canton is just superb!
Along way from audiophile quality I know but what a throw back to my younger years and if only it sounded this good back then!
