The Big Bad Blues
Any fans of ZZ and fuzzy heavy rocking blues are going to love this new release from the shy, retiring, gravel voiced Mr. Billy F Gibbons. This one hits the spot right from the first note. An absolute belter!

I have a couple of MM Blue Note reissues and they are fantastic quality a bit pricey but your system will not sound better than when it's playing one of these.
Vinyl - some nice laid back jazzy arrangements of the Fabs toons. ????
XTC - Black Sea
On CD Remixed by Steven Wilson
2005 - Double CD compilation...
Former blues/pop(ish) 60's band. A couple of members, Glover and Gillan, later left to form one of the best lineups of a little known band at the time called Deep Purple. Worth checking out
Schubert: Forellen Quintet
pianist Martin Helmchen, violinist Christian Tetzlaff, violist Antoine Tamestit, cellist Marie Elisabeth Hecker, and double bassist Alois Posch.
The War On Drugs - A Deeper Understanding
Why? Because I am resisting calls from SWMBO to go out shopping (it's wazzing down) and I'm perfectly happy in the man cave.
I have the volume up a few more notches!

Emmylou Harris - Wrecking Ball. She pours emotion into every song and drags the listener in with a captivating voice and performance.
This is a stunningly good LP - I think this is a career highlight for Emmylou.
Jamie Woon - Making Time.
British funk at it's very best, IMHO.
To quote the Bristolian vernacular, it's wazzing down in Wiltshire. All morning. But solo Chopin music brightens any dull weather.
Tony Bennet and Bill Evans - The Tony Bennet Bill Evans Album - OJC 439 Fantasy Records 1975 on vinyl
Great LP by two great musicians

Christine and the Queens. Chris.
Now Playing.........
Charles Lloyd - I Long to See You
Charles Lloyd (tenor saxophone, alto flute), Bill Frisell (guitar), Greg Leisz (steel guitar), Reuben Rogers (bass), Eric Harland (drums), Willie Nelson (vocals), and Norah Jones (vocals).
Streaming on NAS.......... does not get much better than waking up to the beautiful music and opening track, Masters of War, with Lloyd's sax leading the way then Bill & Greg's guitars carry on for a bit with great interplay & support of each other in this quintet. Love this album and worth the time to give a listen!

Still not sure about this, her latest album. It's not having the impact on me that Soul Eyes did. What's your impressions, Bert?
