What are you listening to and WHY might anyone be interested? (Vol. XIV)

On the eve of a new year, it's time for a new thread.
Last year's thread can be found here:
Julia Fordham, Concrete Love.
OK, so the NAP500 has only been running for ~65 hours since it was returned following the DR upgrade, but it's demonstrating great control over the heavyweight bass in this recording. So much so that I wonder why I've ordered a ND555. I think I'm just realising how good the NDS really is!
BTW Julia is marvellous, as always.
Prince - Emancipation, playing the first disc of this mammoth triple album .Every disc clocks in at more than an hour,he certainly was productive.
Was just in the mood for this lovely LP - I do not listen to it very often, but never tire of it !
Emerson,Lake &Palmer - Trilogy.
Now Playing........
Tomasz Stanko Quintet - Dark Eyes
Tomasz Stanko (trumpet), Alexi Tuomarila (piano), Jakob Bro (guitar), Anders Christensen (bass) and Olavi Louhivuori (drums).
Streaming on NAS.......... waking up this morning with Tomasz's Dark Eyes and letting its working its magic to get me up and moving this morning. It is one beautiful album!
Playing on Vinyl - Perfect to prepare the dinner too with - very relaxing
James Gelfand trio - Ground Midnight
Checking out a new piano trio. Sounding good so far.
James Gelfand - Piano; Morgan Moore - bass; Jim Doxa - drums
(1970)
Wishbone Ash's eponymous debut album that I've enjoyed since it was originally released. Twin guitar lead playing off each other, great times in the music revolution that had kicked off in the sixties.
Nicely chilled for this evening after a fairly busy weekend.
Luke Howard Trio - Meadowlands
Thank you Haim, you put me onto this.
(1970)
Air Conditioning
Staying in the year 1970 with what was another fabulous debut album, this one by Curved Air who had a wonderful few years where their light shone oh so brightly. Sonja Kristina fronting up on vocals as ever it was a shame that the band couldn't push on to the next level because when they were so very good but once again 'issues' prevented them moving on. So many great new bands making so much great new and different music, what a great time to be alive.
I played side one of this the other day and realised that it ought to be cleaned as it's never been done since I bought it when it came out. It's just had a double clean on the Okki Nokki (50% bioethanol, followed by 30% isopropyl alcohol) and sounds significantly better. This really takes me back!
Well there's no point in getting the Okki Nokki fired up to clean just one record, so this got cleaned too. Again, this has never been cleaned since I bought it secondhand when I was a student in the '80s. This has always rocked and is cut at quite a high level, so dust and scratches etc. have never really come through.
The volume has gone up a tad for this one.
Just finished this. The National - High Violet.
On vinyl
Why? Bit of jazz on a Sunday evening after dinner.

Van Morrison - Roll With the Punches.
2010 - Vinyl...
One could be forgiven for thinking this a soul album judging by the opening tracks. It turns very angry and full of attitude all of a sudden.
Brilliant album nonetheless.
