On the eve of a new year, it's time for a new thread.
Last year's thread can be found here:
Now Playing.........
Lizz Wright - Dreaming Wide Awake
Streaming on NAS......... arrived in the mail this afternoon, ripped to NAS and taking out for a spin. A second CD from Lizz and her follow-up release (2005) after her debut album of 'Salt' in 2003. This is another fantastic album, or it is just 6:24 PM in the evening and all the stars have aligned and the music is just sounding...........oh so sweet!
The Definitive Rod Stewart
Not what I remember on the radio of yesteryear. A Favorite of my wife's. Never a fan myself. SQ is so so for me.
Bailyhill
For the Rooners out there, can yo Roon this ?
Franz Schubert (1797-1828): Quatuor van Kuijk
String Quartets Nos. 10 & 14 'Death and the Maiden'

Individually all great vocalists but together something very special.
Playing on Compact Disc on Jacks Third man Records - It should really be on Vinyl as Jack White hates digital - Blunderbuss his debut solo album from 2012
Genesis
Turn It On Again - The Hits - CD Rip
Edward
1st album from the Scruff.
Playing on Compact Disc - Very Nice 2nd album from Dido

Now Playing..........
Wolfgang Muthspiel and Brian Blade - Friendly Travelers
Wolfgang Muthspiel (guitars, voice) and Brian Blade (drums, guitar, voice)
Streaming on NAS........... Arrived in yesterday's mail and now taking out for a spin. This was a recommendation from JEFF ANDERSON back on September 16th which I found & ordered the following day. Well through two tracks and can say, thank you Jeff, it sounds like a winner! Looking forward to the rest of the album.
Playing on Compact Disc - Live Robin Trower from 2002 _ including a stunning Bridge of Sighs
This will not get fans from the audiophile jazzers out there as it's recorded too hot. Won't get fans from the young burgeoning hipsters as it's too knee deep esoteric eccentric. But never the less this is awesome.
Now playing...................
Wolfgang Muthspiel - Driftwood
Wolfgang Muthspiel (guitar), Larry Grenadier (double bass) and Brian Blade (drums).
Streaming on NAS........... arrived in the mail yesterday and now taking out for a spin. Opening track 'Joseph' is sounding mighty fine and looking forward to the rest of the album!
Playing on Cassette on TDK SA - X C60 - Great solo album by Hawkwinds Robert Calvert from 1975 - Produced by Brian Eno
Kamasi Washington. Heaven and Earth.
Rolling Stones - Exile On Main Street....

Wish I still had my original "A Walk Across The Rooftops". These guys are hard to find, even with the power of the interwobble.
Miles Davis - Porgy and Bess
a bit small....Baaba Maal...Lam Toro
I have finally unpacked my LP12 and set it up on its shelf. This to start with as the cartridge etc all warm up and the bass starts to settle in. I forget just how comforting it is to be able to put on a record and let the sounds wash over you. I have really missed my LP12 and while the Rega 25 is a wonderful thing, my LP12 is a thing above.
