Somebody posted this album a few days ago turned up n the post this morning ripped and played superb.

Many thanks to whoever it was.

Sade - Lovers Rock.

Ahem, and if you like that one, you'll lurve this one.

  Sade - Love Deluxe.

I posted this a few days ago, and as Bob says, above, she's never made a bad album, though, for me, this one just shades the others.

Allegedly working on a new album, albeit slowly, so may be a tour to follow.

Gazza, already orderded the ND555 is waiting !!!

What’s it called for pre-order?

(2001)

Rimsky Korsakov - Scheherazade (Just playing the RK I'll swerve the Borodin tonight)

This one takes me back to my childhood days when the folks seemed to be giving it a lot of play (not this particular album of course) nicely recorded and always a joy to revisit.

A great cheap (second hand) buy off the River and sounds excellent on my SI combo with Neat speakers.

John Meyer - Continuum

I've gone off the idea of ripping CDs into a NAS, too much 'poker face' aggro. I find it much more advanced and convenient to just put in CD, sit back and press play. Sod all this computer malarkey, I just cannot be bothered with it.

On CD-:

This is album through which I discovered Family and the very distinctive warbling of Roger Chapman. A long time ago, of course.

CD on the MacBook

Why? Originally for review but, even though its not normally my bag, I have found the songs contained therein interesting and original.

(2018)

Juke Box Babe

A fine 15 minute EP from Moon Duo that funks along very nicely in their luverly psychedelic kinda way...

Graham Parker - Cloud Symbols, Original U.K. vinyl

As I’m seeing the old boy play Holmfirth on Sunday, having another spin of his new ‘un. Top class rock, Parker’s still got his flair for lyrics, maybe a few more cheerful numbers than his youth, the brass seems to drive a pretty jaunty vibe through the album. One of the greatmpub rockers showing he’s still got it.

Sleepwalker

As ever, one album leads to another and here it's another fine album from the psyche Moon Duo...

Graham Parker and the Rumour - Heat Treatment, 1989 reissue vinyl

Staying with Graham Parker and going back 42 years, he’s an angry young man with a great sneer, the Rumour were one of the great backing bands, the whole album is a blast of pure rock energy.

Reminiscent of St Germain 'Tourist' and all rather groovy and lovely.

John.

Easy Star All-Stars - Dub Side of The Moon.                                                         DubXanne - Police In Dub.

Two completely bonkers dub albums, the first of which takes the Floyd classic, and turns it into something a little less po-faced.

The other one does exactly what it says on the tin, with some great dub versions of The Police's biggest hits.

As I say, these are completely mad, but they don't half bring a smile to my face.

Mark Hollis, simply titled Mark Hollis. His first solo album from 98, if your a fan of the later more esoteric Talk Talk albums such as Spirit of Eden or Laughing Stock then you’ll enjoy this, sounds great too. Streaming on Tidal.
