On the eve of a new year, it's time for a new thread.
Last year's thread can be found here:
Playing on Compact Disc on Naxos - Really Nice Guitar Compilation to start the working day
A random pick, on 1980s vinyl.
Gene Loves Jezebel > Heavenly Bodies
My favorite band ever second best album!
Playing on Cassette on TDK SA C60 - Really Like this Steve Hillage album from 1977 - Going to see him with System 7 supporting The Orb in a couple of weeks time
Playing on Cassette on TDK SA C60 - Recorded at their commune in France in 1973 - Always enjoy hearing this album
William Bell - This Is Where I Live.
I do seem to keep posting this long time forum favourite, but then, why not?
It's a great album throughout, and his version of "Born Under A Bad Sign" is probably the best ever, Albert King notwithstanding,
but then, William did write this classic song.
Mind you, this acoustic rendering of the same song is rather good, and is a great introduction to the man's music, if you've never
listened to him before.
Great stuff, IMHO.
Another Sade CD in the post this morning ripped and played very enjoyable indeed so much good music available at knock down prices.
Playing on Compact Disc - Mega Selling Santana album from 1999 - Fabulous guitar and Rhythm as you would expect
This is a lovely album, brilliantly sung and played, and a fantastic lively recording from Linn. It’s great fun too, and most definitely not a Krallesque smoothathon.
Listening to “the list” by Roseanne Cash. Very nicely recorded, and she has a great voice. The list was of 100 great American songs given to her by father Johnny Cash...worried at the music she listened to as a young girl on the radio. She kept the list, and started to record some after he died, and then her mother.
Really enjoying David’s soothing and soulful voice on this return to form album.

A big favourite of mine, not a bad track????
Meadow - Blissful Ignorance
Cool jazz from a trio, not only for John Taylor fans. Great at this time of day. Great at any time of day.
Now Playing..........
Eberhard Weber - The Colours of Chloe
Eberhard Weber (bass, cello, ocarina), Rainer Brüninghaus (piano, synthesizer), Peter Giger (drums, percussion), Ralf-R. Hübner (drums) and Ack van Rooyen (flugelhorn).
Streaming on NAS.......... Going with Eberhard for the wake up album this morning. Could use some of that sunshine and flowers from the album cover on this dark, cool, damp, and overcast morning. The music is helping and brightening my mood with the opening track so things are looking up already.......
Billy Idol > Rebel Yell
Playing on Compact Disc - Just brilliant from The Velvet Underground - Haven't played it for a while but so many timeless tracks - Venus In Furs is bloody brilliant
Now playing...........
Eberhard Weber - Fluid Rustle
Eberhard Weber (bass, tarang), Bonnie Herman (voice), Norma Winstone (voice), Gary Burton (vibraharp, marimba) and Bill Frisell (guitar, balalaika).
Streaming on NAS........... continuing on this morning with Eberhard with 'Fluid Rustle' which is one beautiful album! Sounding mighty sweet......
Sade - Soldier Of Love.
More smooth goodness from Sade ............ it seems that the more I listen to her velvet tones, the more I just find myself playing
another of her albums.
Resistance is useless!
