What are you listening to and WHY might anyone be interested? (Vol. XIV)

On the eve of a new year, it's time for a new thread.
Last year's thread can be found here:
Elton John - Captain Fantastic and the Brown Dirt Cowboy, this is certainly Reg at the peak of his powers, and the album is beautifully recorded.
(2016)
Haken - Affinity
Because it's lovely hard prog' rock / light metal from a rather fab London band.
The Hoax - Recession Blues, FLAC CD rip
1st listen to this, blues at its best. These guys could really play, and it’s infectious joyous music, great great stuff.
For my last album of the evening I've gone for some gentle Eddi Reader:
Pet Shop Boys - Discography
I have absolutely no idea what made me think of listening to this. Rather enjoying it TBH.
Bill Callahan and Devendra Banhart .,,,
Chris Rea - Auberge, one of his more mellow offerings.
Just finished this (on vinyl). Steely Dan - Gaucho. Awesome.
(1996)
Some Space Pussy to finish off the evening, Simon Posford (Hallucinogen) going in quite hard with this EP length heavy dance 'n trance offering.
Ry Cooder - Chavez Ravine, must admit that it takes me a while to get into his concept albums
Porcupine Tree - Inabsentia (2002). Kscope 2018 CD release. Saw them live in Montreal years ago, very good prog rock.
An awful cover which may well be part of the reason this wonderful compilation is relatively unknown:
Facinating to learn the origins of some of these tracks, they always sounded so current and vital on the Fall albums, I’m amazed how old some of them were. Rollin’ Danny - Gene Vincent, never would have guessed that.

Now playing........
Eberhard Weber - Little Movements
Eberhard Weber (bass), Charlie Mariano (soprano saxophone, flute), Rainer Brüninghaus (piano, synthesizer) and John Marshall (drums, percussion).
Streaming on NAS........ returning home and returning to the music of Eberhard's 'Little Movements' some perfect background music while completing some afternoon chores. Relaxing and allows the stress of the day to melt away with the music from this fine quartet!
Now playing..........
Eberhard Weber - Silent Feet
Eberhard Weber (bass, cello), Charlie Mariano (soprano saxophone, flutes), Rainer Brüninghaus (piano, synthesizer) and John Marshall (drums).
Streaming on NAS.......... continuing on with Eberhard with his 'Silent Feet' album while getting some exercise........ and it is working quite nicely!
U-NAM - Back From the 80s
Will have a listen to her new album later today. Hope she follows up with an album that delivers on the promise of the above one.
This album features Walter Trout and Oli Brown.
I am not so into this hip hop touch, but I also didn’t switch it off, obviously I am not buying it...
