On the eve of a new year, it's time for a new thread.
Last year's thread can be found here:

Correction a more ambient album, with soundscapes
Playing on Compact Disc on Naxos - A nice Naxos Round up of fine Vivaldi moments
Eric Clapton - No Reason To Cry ,a laid back affair with the likes of Dylan and The Band lending a hand.
Wolfgang Muthspiel - Where the river goes.
Checking out the new one from Wolfgang Muthspiel.
Personnel - Wolfgang Muthspiel: guitar; Ambrose Akinmusire: trumpet; Brad Mehldau: piano; Larry Grenadier: bass; Eric Harland: drums.
Playing on Compact Disc - Havent heard this album for years and enjoying hearing it again.Very experimental by Joni's more conventional song writting style but good non the less.
I thought I knew a lot about jazz but I'd never heard of this bloke:
A massive price drop (now reversed) on AZ prompted me to buy the cd. Very good tenor player, a bit easy listening in places.
Merle Haggard > Swinging Doors and the Bottle Let Me Down
The Marcus King Band-Carolina Confessions
So good from the hometown guy. Turns out my friends dad grew up with Marcus's dad and the guys that run my local brewery toured with him for a while. I learned about him from Ewemon on this thread about a year ago or so. That still makes me laugh when I think about that.
McCoy Tyner - Echoes of a friend.
McCoy Tyner dedicated this 1972 recording of piano solos to John Coltrane.
Playing on Compact Disc - Lovely West Coast Paisley tinged pop from the Bangles

1st listen to this, blues at its best. These guys could really play, and it’s infectious joyous music, great great stuff.
The sound is awful
The great thing about interesting compilation albums like Before the Fall

are the avenues one goes down in this great time for music listeners with Roon and Tidal.
This is is an MQA album and I find MQA a bit of the curate’s egg but this is about as good as late 50’s albums get.

Playing on Compact Disc - What better way to get the Friday afternoon final countdown to the weekend than this ZZ Top masterpiece - I don't think they surpassed this album - certainly from a albums sales side.Afterburner didn't come close to Elimanator
Now Playing..........
Tord Gustavsen - The Well
Tord Gustavsen (piano), Tore Brunborg (tenor saxophone), Mats Eilertsen (double-bass) and Jarle Vespestad (drums).
Streaming on NAS........... delivered yesterday, ripped to NAS and now taking out for a spin. I love Tord's music and adding another one of his albums to the collection. The quartet is sounding mighty sweet this morning!
John Lennon - Plastic Ono Band.
Gary Moore
Power Of The Blues - CD Rip
Edward
Metronomy - The English Riviera
I've got others of theirs but this is the one that hooked me in. The guy's a talent. Good live too.
All Them Witches-ATW
Kris Kristofferson > The Silver Tongued Devil and I
Playing on Compact Disc - A classic Whitesnake line up a band on top of their game.
The Police - Outlandos d'Amour ,the debut from '78.
