On the eve of a new year, it's time for a new thread.
Last year's thread can be found here:
Playing on Vinyl on Clock Tower Records 1978 - Some fine Reggae from Bunny Lee
Thanks Bob you have made me get some out. That House Music BBC 4 history was great and very educational especially the Detroit episode.
Joe Sample - The Pecan Tree
....and now.... Lizz Wright - The Orchard
Joe Sample is one of of my favourite pianists with that lovely jazz/funk vibe with Howard Hewett and the wonderful Lizz Wright guesting and singing beautifully on this rather lovely album.
Hearing that lovely honey-edged voice of Lizz Wright inevitably led me to my favourite album of hers, The Orchard. Just gorgeous.
Amy Wadge featuring Pete Riley superb , very difficult to find many of her albums but found this one on Flea Bay ironically 5 miles from where I live.
Having seen Tony2011 playing his vinyl version of this I thought I'd dig out one my CD versions. This and Benefit have long-been my favourite Tull albums.
My listening at the office today.

Mike, just to clarify, I played the original first pressing version of the album. I would never ever play anything remastered by SW. NEVER!!!
Starting off tonight by playing the cd mastered reference disc used for the album
The Hollies - 20 Golden Greats, Original U.K. vinyl.
£5 from a local record shop today, great stuff, the three part vocals are sublime, and they wrot some great songs. Pop/rock of a high order.

Yes, I know you're not a fan of Mr Wilson's remastering work, Tony. Mind you, if I had an original vinyl pressing and the right deck to play it on, I wouldn't be bothered by Wilson's re-mastering of Stand-Up either.

Streaming on Tidal now. There are 4 versions, one is by Wilson.
King Kurt - Ooh Wallah Wallah
Going back to my teens with this mad rockabilly album. If I remember correctly the lead singer was called Maggot.
Need I say more.
Now playing........
Ray LaMontagne - Till The Sun Turns Black
Streaming on NAS.......... a recent purchase and enjoy this album quite a bit, opening up the afternoon hour with Ray and he is sounding mighty fine!
(1974)
So What
Some lovely old Joe Walsh after walking the puppy and before getting a bite to eat.
After a long absence I seem to have got back into Michael Jackson's work.
Beach House - 7
Dead Can Dance > In Concert
