Well, it was the album I was referring to but you're not wrong
Since days, I‘m on the Chicago „underground „ trip...Tortoise, Sam Prekop, Jim O‘ruke, Sea and Cake, Pullman and some Stereolab as well...great cosmos!
Had another listen to this - but now in high res..., great album, with some great drum solos as well....

Just found a double CD 'One More Good Night With The Boys' for two quid.
Elvis Costello - Imperial Bedroom. Although I have almost all of Costello's albums and like them all, for some reason I have never got on with this one, despite it being regarded by many people as his masterpiece. I decided to give it a play tonight for the first time in many years to see if I was missing something and, although I remain unconvinced, it's actually better than I remember. Perhaps, I need to give it more plays.
George Michael - Older, his third album from '96 after an absence of some time.

Great album, I really enjoyed this one back in the day when I was burning in my Naim CD3 player/NAC92/90.3, i'll never forget it, one of George's best by far!

Yes, I thought it was a return to form, after the disappointing for me, "Listen Without Prejudice".
Northen jazz ensemble, very well recorded. Worth the HiRez download (2L music store)
Magnus Ostrom Searching for Jupiter, interesting album from the drummer with EST, steaming on Tidal.
Maria McKee - Maria McKee. I think this was her first solo album after Lone Justice. Such a powerful voice. Not listened to this in ages. Some stellar musicians on this - Richard Thompson, Jim Keltner, Marc Ribot, Tony Levin, Jerry Scheff, Jerry Marotta amongst others. Although she has released albums after this, her career after this seems to have been fairly low key.
Ute Lemper - Crimes of the heart. Vinyl.
Apart from a couple of soso tracks , all the others are very good. Nice Album.
Rumer - Seasons Of My Soul.

Oh wow! This is just delicious.
Mike, could it be we independently came up with the same description or did this stick in your mind?
Either way, I think delicious is a perfect way of describing the singer and the album!

Even this album didn't realise her full potentail. Last I heard she was living in Ireland.
