What are you listening to and WHY might anyone be interested? (Vol. XIV)

On the eve of a new year, it's time for a new thread.
Last year's thread can be found here:
Following Black Fire with the only other Andrew Hill album I have in my collection, Point of Departure. I used to find this difficult to listen to, but clearly my ears weren’t ready for it when I bought it. Now I’m enjoying all its charms.
George Benson - White Rabbit
(1972)
With Composers Grace Slick, Michel Legrand, Heitor Villa Lobos, John Phillips and of course GB himself this had the potential to be a very fine album and indeed it turned out to be a wee gem although these days perhaps rather unappreciated. George Benson's exquisite guitar work underpins and provides the foundation for this wonderful album.
'Featuring an all star cast of musicians who all are masters in their own rite. The featured cut white rabbit is wonderfully orchestrated by Don Sebesky as are the cover songs. The instrumentation is superb featuring spicy guitar riffs and solos by King George with complimentary response from the other musicians.' - A discogs punter
Brilliant Blues album that I forgot I had. Earl Hooker is on fire here.
Fancied listening to something bouncy before dinner. This fits the bill.
Will Hoge - My American Dream, UK vinyl
A recommendation from Ewemon, and another winner, cheers. Heart on sleeve angry political Americana/country, strong lyrics, brilliantly played and sung.
Always pleasant an album of Paolo...
Nice pastoral feeling about this album...
Alexander Scriabin (1871-1915): Andrei Korobeinikov, piano
Complete Etudes | Sonata No. 7, Op. 64

Glad you like it as I can't stop playing the first track on the album. It was literally on repeat in the car today.
CD - Turn Back The Clock 30th Anniversary Edition 3 CD set
Why? Review. It's OK smooth pop in a Wham/George Michael/ABC style that just about wears its age well enough. There's a remastered original album, an acoustic version of same (Does everyone and his dog feel they have to do this?), plus the obligatory demos/CD/alternate mixes CD.

Bob Dylan/The Band - Before the Flood, 1980s UK vinyl.
Live album from their 1974 tour, it finds his Bobness in angry and passionate mood, with the Band driving along behind him, in compelling performances of Dylan and Band classics. Some great electric versions of some of his early classic numbers, for me the highlights are probably a pretty convincing attempt (if doomed) at reclaiming Watchtower as an electric number from Jimi, and a passionate acoustic reading of It’s Alright Ma with Dylan getting very ounce of anger and pain from the lyrics. (Favourites subject to change on every listen.) One of my favourite live albums, I was only going to play disc 2, but I need to hear both now.

It’s a really strong set of songs, but after 1 listen I’d say that the opener and closer are standouts, two angry songs that are totally compelling.

This album also get’s a complete different depth with the ND555. In the past it was a nice album. But now with all the details and the better rendition of bass tones, it becomes a completely different album.
