On the eve of a new year, it's time for a new thread.
Last year's thread can be found here:
Buddy Guy - Rhythm & Blues.
The evergreen Buddy just keeps on doing what he does so well ....... flat out R 'n B ........ last man standing amongst the Chicago greats.
Kevin-W posted:On mid-70s vinyl. Why? Because it's my birthday today, and his as well. So it seems like a good place at which to start the day's musical journey.
Happy Birthday K...Good choice love this album I have a Japanes vinyl press which sounds superb. Will give it a spin after I have finished with Bobbie G & Glen C . Hope you are having a good day. G
Mozart violin concertos 1, 3, 4 with Viktoria Mullova - just the ticket on a beautiful sunny autumn evening. Lovely recorded sound too.
On CD:-
It Bites - Once Around The World
Buddy Guy & Junior Wells -
Alone & Acoustic. Drinkin' TNT 'n' Smokin' Dynamite. Pure Raw Blues.
Fish & Chips, Bacon & Egg, or even Mick & Keef .......................... these two, Buddy Guy and the late, great, Junior Wells, who sadly
passed away in 1998, were as good a pairing as you could ever wish to find .............. Chicago Blues at it's very best.
A talented Belgian artist. She is one of my favourites and is easily as good as Madonna.
(2016)
Josefin Öhrn and The Liberation - Mirage
Happy birthday Kevin, I seem to remember this lady is another favourite of yours. Super cool psychedelic Scandi grooves from Josefin.
The vinyl reissue
Why? Hits my vibe at this moment in time.

Silje Nergaard - For You A Thousaand Times
A lovely voice, some well crafted songs and a superb recording. Tricky to assign this to a particular genre. Have a listen, its on Tidal.
(1973)
Can - Future Days
Fine early Can reproduced here via a 2005 SACD hybrid remaster.
Aged vinyl
Why? Sorta keeping with the vibe (man).

Silje - Tell Me Where You're Going, prompted by NigelB's post thought I'd dig out this lovely single from '90.I think I bought it blind for about a pound ,and it even has an alternative take of the track featuring Pat Metheny .Money well spent .
Portico Quartet - Art In The Age Of Automation
Neneh Cherry - Raw Like Sushi
Also looking forward to watching Neneh on Later with Jools tonight.
Public Service Broadcasting - The Race For Space, this great album is certainly unique in my collection.
