U2: Pop.

1994: original vinyl.

A bit mushy, but nonetheless vital and with a sense of energy, intensity and focus that recent offerings have lacked.

Preparing for the concert: less than a fortnight to go.

I have waited 40 of your earth years for this.

I could never quite get on with Asia,. I wanted the songs to develop with more of a sweeping crescendo, whereas I found them to pull their rock punches and recycle and loop before climax. Somewhat tantric.

Not sure about tantric. I’d simply say; rubbish.

Are Halibut known for their lack of tact?

Kate Bush: Director's Cut.

Original vinyl.

Analogue re-recordings of KB's favourites. Awesomely rich with new insights into her minstrelsy.

Now playing.........

Marcin Wasilewski Trio - January

Marcin Wasilewski Trio - January

Marcin Wasilewski  (piano), Slawomir Kurkiewicz  (double-bass) and Michal Miskiewicz  (drums).

Streaming on TIDAL........   continuing on from this morning and listening to another of Marcin's albums from his catalogue. Quite enjoyable and working quite nicely after a long afternoon at work, this is certainly taking the edge off!

I can understand why you call it rubbish. And yeah it is in a way very controlled and very much sounding polished, lacking emotion...., but they made some great stuff which I still love today. The album above and the first album of the band are in my eyes good albums.

But I guess it’s one of the bands some people would love to hate....

Have many versions of these pieces, still prefer Maria Jao Pires most..
