wow, great choice ewemon! suitably nice & rough....
Followed her career since the beginning and think this may well be her best album.
Playing on Compact Disc - Deep Purple - Deepest Purple - The front cover is a bit bland ,so I thought I would post the back cover as it's got some good pics of the boys and tracklist
Simply wonderful...
As live Albums go this is a belter !!! Recorded over 2 groove filled nights in 1972 this is definitely worth a listen .
Now playing..........
Joshua Redman Quartet - Moodswing
Joshua Redman (tenor saxophone, soprano saxophone), Brad Mehldau (piano), Christian McBride (bass) and Brian Blade (drums).
Streaming on NAS........... Woke up this morning needing a mood swing and letting Joshua work his magic.......... and after the first track, 'Sweet Sorrow' things are starting to look up.......... and with the second track, 'Chill' starting to settle into the day......... The quartet is sounding mighty sweet this morning!
Radio Paradise on the recently added new web-player, broadcasting FLAC. Go to the web-site.
Playing on Cassette on Maxell ULS - C60 - Really great Reggae from Birminghams Steel Pulse from 1978
Now playing.........
June in The Fields - Miles behind, miles ahead
Streaming on NAS......... going with some mellow and beautiful songs to lift up the day. Cold, damp and thick fog outside the door this morning and hopefully James and Renee will raise the veil.......
On CD:-
K T Tunstall - Kin
Wayne Shorter - Emanon
Listening to the quartet (Danilo Perez - piano, Patitucci - bass and Brian Blade on drums) live in london set.
Playing on Cassette on TDK AD -X C60 - Rory Gallagher and his band Taste Live at The Isle Of Wight Festival 1970 - The Stratmaster in fine form (when is he not )
What a fantastic racket of a noise.
Cisco 30th anniversary vinyl - Great stuff ????
Kandace Springs - Indigo
This is a bit more of a 'slow burn' than her first album Soul Eyes, which is more immediately impactful and accessible. Indigo is starting to get under my skin though. I am glad she has broadened her horizons and resisted the temptation to bring out a Soul Eyes 2.
Nick Hakim. Green Twins. 2017.
Absolute stonking album. Definitely worth checking this one out !!!
Playing on Compact Disc - Vol 2 of The Guru's infusion of Hip Hop and Jazz featuring the artists on the cover
