What are you listening to and WHY might anyone be interested? (Vol. XIV)

On the eve of a new year, it's time for a new thread.
Last year's thread can be found here:
Still enjoying this re- interpretation of some his less well known songs...CD
Angela Hewitt & Andrea Oliva - Bach: flute sonatas
A good album, took me some time to convince myself to buy...
Nice quiet music...
Another one..
It might be grey and damp outside this morning but it's rocking indoors. Thunderstruck is sounding awesome.
4-LP vinyl (UK), a decent record of the 2003/4 tour. Wish they'd recorded the 1981 jaunt though - that'd really be something.
Paul Desmond & Jim Hall quartet - Complete recordings
Nice relaxing jazz. Recorded between 1959 and 1965.
Producer Dave Eringa puts it succinctly: “I never expected to be making another Wilko Johnson album after Going Back Home but what a pleasure & a privilege it was to be able to capture Wilko’s first new songs for 30 years! He is one of music’s true gentleman – literate, intelligent, & articulate but still rock’n’roll as f_k!”

Even the coyote outside seems to be completely mesmerized by the exquisite music:
At the current time, an album that might be commended to Her Majesty's party of government
Echo & The Bunnymen - The Stars, The Oceans & The Moon.
The official blurb says "Bunnymen classics transformed, & new songs, with strings & things attached" ............. Hmmm ...........
Still, you know when an album doesn't grab you straight away, but you nevertheless have a nagging feeling that it will grow on you,
in time ................... well, this is one of those albums .................. we'll see.
Just the thing to blow the cobwebs away on this dismal autumn day.
Green Day - American Idiot

Great live album. One can easily get a bit heavy handed with the volume dial here!
Another random pick: a 1999 CD compilation on Ace Records. Decent sound, great track selection - apart from bloody Van bloody Morrison and his bloody Brown Eyed bloody Girl, one of the most twee, prissy and tedious songs ever.
Apart from that, just the thing for a Sunday afternoon!
Brad Mehldau - back at the village vanguard
Now playing.........
Amy Wadge - Eye of the Storrm
Streaming on TIDAL........ A quick 6 track eye-opener to start this Sunday morning.....
Now playing.......
Van Morrison - Astral Weeks
Streaming on NAS......... joining MERCKY and celebrating the 50th anniversary release of Astral Weeks, one sweet album!

Agreed, Stephen. And I must confess to giving it some welly with this album.
Not listened to this for a while - ripped CD
This album has been around for ages but for some reason I only added it to my Suzanne Vega collection quite recently. Re-production quality isn't as good as her Close-Up series but not bad.
Charlie Musselwhite - One Night In America.
A gentle meander through Memphis Blues, with a hint of Country, and on this album, Charlie, with able assistance from guitarists
GE Smith and Robben Ford, will surprise anyone who thought he was just a harp player.
It's there on Tidal, and is a really pleasant listen.
UK first press Small Wonder vinyl from '79. A new acquisition.
Now playing.........
Van Morrison - The Healing Game
Streaming on NAS........... continuing on with Van with a 1997 release, my how the time flies! Enjoy this album quite a bit and he is sounding mighty sweet this morning!
