I make no excuses for posting this again as it is good album
The fact you posted this twice Ewe, is hint enough that I should take a listen and I am so glad I did (or rather am doing so, as I listen while penning this, well while prodding my iPad with a stubby finger).
What a lovely voice and what a great selection of songs to cover. Very, very nice.
U2 week. No apologies. Preparation for Mancs Arena Saturday.
U2: All that you can't leave behind. 2000.
It might as well have been called 'baggage' given the airport motif on the cover. But an album of anthemic proportions.
Bought this on CD today to fill a gap in my Bill Evans collection. It had long been on a list of albums to buy. Listening to it now it's gorgeous and I feel a bit annoyed with myself for not having got it before.

I recall having a battered pre recorded cassette of this in my car stereo for about a year back in the early 80’s. Still pretty funky stuff all these years later. There was a documentary film on herself produced in Ireland and released earlier this year on Netflix called Bloodlight and Bami which gets fairly good reviews
Grace Jones used to live near me at one point, locals got used to avoiding the scarily driven Mercedes coming down the hill with her behind the wheel, seeing her face stil makes me nervous.

Vinyl. She just has an amazing voice. Wish she had recorded more solo work.
Disc three of this wonderful set concentrates on Local Gentry from 1968. Among the previously unreleased treasures, "The Conspiracy of Homer Jones" is a pure delight.
My partner is going to be very pleased that this has just come through the post, she is a huge fan
