On the eve of a new year, it's time for a new thread.
Last year's thread can be found here:
Now for some classic Dire Straits. Curiously it took me many years to discover this album even though I had loads of DS albums. Better late than never.....

Vince Gill - Guitar Slinger, WAV CD rip.
My other Vince Gill recommendation arrived today, ripped and getting its first stream. Another lovely album, beautiful sympathetic guitar enhancing well sung fine lyrics, he’s a real class act. Thanks again Ewemon.
On a different note, I rarely use the Nova remote, but I do like the way the screen reflects in it when it’s directly in front of the player.
A fine album. What was the other VG album you bought Eoink?
Hi Kevin, it was Down To My Last Bad Habit, another fine piece of work. The first times I’ve heard him on his own rather than with other artists, but I think it’s the start of a bigger collection, he’s genuine class.
Otis Grand - Nothing Else Matters...., some pretty good blues and guitar playing, but I am less impressed with his choice of vocalists.
2 x LP - Demon Records Ltd 2015 limited edition
2018 version.
Lee "Scratch" Perry - The Black Album.
83 years old, and the inimitable Lee Perry continues to knock out some great Roots Reggae.
This, his latest album, contains nine original choons, together with their respective dub plate versions ..............
...........................great stuff from The Upsetter!
The Who - My Generation Mono mixes - 16/44 FLAC download.
From the 50th anniversary box set , high energy rock, a classic album. I was doing OK on volume until the title track came on, now it’s lucky I have a reasonable distance to my neighbours. Another bargain box set download from Juno.
Cat Stevens - The Very Best Of, an excellent overview of his earlier career highlights.
The Dead South - Good Company
You cannot beat a good banjo!

Oh you can, try a sledgehammer. (Actually I like the sound of a banjo, just can’t resist a bad “joke”.)
Have a look at this cracking tune and video.
Kacey Musgraves - Same Trailer, Different Park, WAV CD rip
Very stylish young country singer. She’s a fine songwriter, lovely vignettes of blue collar life, set to good tunes, sung and played really well. I really like this album.

A up and coming star I think I’ve got three of her albums and they are all very very good indeed.

Now that’s a great catchy number to finish my night’s listening, and fun video, they are dudes! Thanks for posting, I’ll have a listen to the album soon of it’s on Tidal.
Mandolin Orange - Blindfaller one of my fav albums of 2016
3 trax off their up and coming album. Due out Feb next year
Herbie Hancock - The New Standard, this album from '96 was sniffed at by the jazz elite at the time because it covered songs from the '60s through to the '90s.But ,with an excellent stellar supporting cast ,its rather fun
Enjoyable bit of prog though overall I probably prefer the earlier albums:
Interestingly this sounds so much better on NDX 2 via NAC 282 than I've ever heard it before digitally.
First track reminds me of Queen in places.
an oldie … why not? nice re-acquaintance …
enjoy/ken
Now playing.........
Ferenc Snétberger - Titok
Ferenc Snétberger (guitar), Anders Jormin (double bass) and Joey Baron (drums).
Streaming on NAS........... This is one suburb album, love this trio! Worth the time to give a listen if you haven't already........
