What are you listening to and WHY might anyone be interested? (Vol. XIV)

On the eve of a new year, it's time for a new thread.
Last year's thread can be found here:

Paul McCartney - McCartney, wonderfully remastered.
Before I went to the audio workshop. I have to agree to some of the comments already placed here. The first part of the album is lesss accessible, or one could also say interesting. It’s too much noodling without getting to something. I will have to listen a couple of times in total to be able to give a total and fair opinion, but the first part seems to be sub par, the 2nd part seems much more interesting...

Then after that, I listened to the new Greta van Fleet. And I again am in agreement with the earlier remark, besides the first song which is a bit odd directional. A very interesting band which has developed since the first album to an I teresting how Led Zeppelin could have sounded when they would have continued. They use the same ingredients strongest being the Robert Plant like voice, however not purely copying, no creating some interesting new music. Recommended....

John Lennon - Imagine, playing the new remix.
After hearing it in direct cut on Vinyl during the workshop, hearing it again at home. Yes missing some aspects, but in details...., and the ND555 compensates a lot of what would have been lost otherwise, like somebody in the workshop argued...... also a good album as such...

Through the live recordings starting to appreciating them more, before I wasn’t into King Crimson, but this again proofs to be an interesting album. Will continue listening while writ8ng a bit about the audio workshop.

Ps recommended to play a bit loud...
Blue MItchell - Step Lightly
Great hard bop by Blue MItchell. Recorded in 1963.

- Alto Saxophone – Leo Wright
- Bass – Gene Taylor
- Drums – Roy Brooks
- Piano – Herbie Hancock
- Tenor Saxophone – Joe Henderson
- Trumpet – Blue Mitchell

The Dead South - Good Company, Tidal.
After seeing the YouTube video TK421 posted last night, giving this album a stream before my weekend guests arrive. Classy bluegrass with occasional thrash-outs, they can really play, good songs, I think a copy of this could be arriving at Eoink Mansions soon.
Marc Riley - https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m0000n0j
You Tell Me is a new band formed by Peter Brewis and Sarah Hayes, Peter from Field Music Fame and Sarah from Admiral Fallow fame, a good old fashioned super-group.
The debut single is called Clarion Call. It's fab.

Bobbie Gentry - The Girl from Chickasaw County CD 5 - WAV CD Rip.
Another disc from the fantastic box set, superb songs sung by a great singer, really classy stuff, and Preacher Man is awesome.

Lana Del Rey. Lust for life.

But the cover is absolutely wonderful, from here it looks like a photograph and I'd bet a few euros that it was taken by himself. I'm intrigued. I hardly resist Jarrett 'even in the quietless moments'...

Enjoying a bit of late night listening with this debut album, some really nice tunes here

CD 2016 on this album she reminds me a Tift Merritt. played with Jason Isbell (on this album) and the 400 Unit.

They sound like a mix of Rush and Led Zepp to me

Love the mono version.

Well, I better give them another chance then, I found her voice annoying.
