The Dead South - Good Company, Tidal.

After seeing the YouTube video TK421 posted last night, giving this album a stream before my weekend guests arrive. Classy bluegrass with occasional thrash-outs, they can really play, good songs, I think a copy of this could be arriving at Eoink Mansions soon.

I am this one too.

Full Moon Fever

Tom Petty's very fine solo debut album, because I'm just in the mood for this...

CD 2017           3rd album from the band.  Enjoy them all.  Fall in the Americana, alt-country range.

Amy Wadge - Amy Wadge

So many classy, memorable choons on here, all written and performed by Amy. What a talent!

She also wrote several of Ed Sheeran's hits for him. I hope he bought her a drink!

  Cream - Wheels of Fire.

Just finishing this double CD which comprises both the studio and live album at Winterland, San Francisco.

My, but they were awfully good, weren't they?

The sum of the parts was something special, and as one reviewer says on The River :

"Three musicians at the top of their game, with Eric Clapton arguably the least gifted of the three on his chosen instrument."

Gabi Novak - Pjesma je moj zivot

A nice jazz from Croatia.

(1980)

Hard Promises

In need of some more Tom Petty, this one is with his Heartbreakers sounding lovely having been breathed on in 1992 by those clever folk at MoFi.

Aimee Mann - Charmer

Thanks to forum members for bringing my attention to this lady almost 12 months ago.

I bought this CD earlier for 25 pence in a charity shop. What a bargain!

Delaney & Bonnie & Friends - On Tour with Eric Clapton.

Another band wot Eric found himself in ^^^^^^^^ , this 4 CD live set points shows the direction in which EC was headed, as the band

would go on to become the backbone of Derek And the Dominoes.

Exuberant, joyful music, and the sound of a group of musicians having a great time out on the road.

Old Sea Brigade - Old Sea Brigade

I can't remember who posted this but it is wonderfully atmospheric. These musicians create a mood, never try to impress and in doing so.....err......impress. Weird.

And I swear, I haven't touched a drop this evening.

The Beatles - Please Please Me. CD rip (2009 remaster).

Listening to the Fab 4 albums in sequence due to finally buying the remastered CDs. Nice to have a unified set at last, as before I only had a mix of a couple of original LPs (courtesy of generous neighbour when a teen), a few 80s LPs and the early CDs. I’m genuinely impressed with the sound q of this remaster (rudimentary stereo mix aside) and would like to sample the mono versions too, but they seem pretty hard to get hold of.

Certainly more entertaining than watching Strictly Come Dancing as per the rest of clan Yeti!

Saw this posted on here a week or so ago. Never heard of the album or even Chely Wright but I thought I'd take a gamble. The CD turned up yesterday and this is my first play. A bit 'country' in style. I'm liking it so far. This lady has a lovely voice.

The Beatles - With The Beatles CD rip (2009 remaster).

The one and only Beatles album I’d never owned or actually heard all the way through - and interesting to hear the mix of covers and Lennon McCartney originals. Better than PPM on first listen.

Russell Malone - Live at the Jazz standard volume one

Great straight ahead jazz by Russell Malone and his quartet.
