On the eve of a new year, it's time for a new thread.
Last year's thread can be found here:

My first ever listen to a George Harrison album and i'm dipping into the 12 album box set setting off in chronological order.
I know this debut album is really a worldly and mind expanding motion picture soundtrack, but for 1967 George was two decades ahead of his time for knowing what an SBL wall would look like : )
Debs
Hi Debs
If I may say so that is a masive leap of faith to aquire the box set if you had not heard any of the albums before. However whilst not every album is stellar each has something to recommend and the music is beautifully performed by a cast of musicians that George could call on as friends.Hope you enjoy the journey and as you are playing the albums chronologically you can hear George's slide guitar technique develop with each album
regards
Alan
Listened to some new stuff. This one is quite interesting combination of very gifted musicians. Can be good for intensive listening, but also as background music, will get it...
Not bad, will try it again...
Will get it, thought I will be dissapointed but I was nicely surprised...
Now Playing.......
Mark Knopfler - Tracker
Streaming on TIDAL....... Spending some time with Mark on this Friday afternoon, sounding mighty fine!
Will have to listen again. Promising...
Then did a workout and listened to two albums of Deep Purple. The Graz album I like most, especially mistreated....

What are your thoughts on this one Mike?
I've only listened to it the once, as I have with Freedom & Surrender that I bought a few days ago. On those initial impressions I prefer The Orchard but like both. Thanks for the steer, Nigel. Yet another example of why I like this thread so much. I've discovered so many new artists on here from the recommendations of others. Amazon must be very pleased with my frequent orders, too.
1995 - Tidal ...
Beautiful voice.
High quality sbd.
Mansun - Six
Sublime.........but needs to be played far louder than I can at present....
Back to the blues. Out on 15th Feb
1998 - Tidal...
Now Playing......
Agnes Obel - Philharmonics (deluxe edition)
Streaming on NAS......... Beautiful piano playing with a beautiful voice, a wonderful album!
Pink Floyd, Final Cut.
Not their most popular album, but one that I thoroughly enjoy.
Heart. Dog & Butterfly. On original vinyl from 1978. Heart's recordings definitely had a strong bass emphasis with pronounced kick drum. Still, it was tight, fast bass and the acoustic parts of this album shine. This, their fourth album, is about as far as I can imbibe Heart before they began straying into hair band and glam rock. Lost touch with their roots and went commercial.

Have to agree. I have just picked up an original classics set of their early albums, bargain.
Goo Goo Dolls. A Boy Named Goo. On CD from 1995. While the slower, more acoustic track "Name" might be the most enduring song, it's largely a hard-driving rock album with a heavy alternative and post-punk bend. Energetic, well done, and good Friday night music.
Blue Wild Angel. Jimi Hendrix Live At The Isle of Wight (1970). On CD from 2014. A distillation of the 2 CD set originally released in 2002. "Machine Gun" the standout track for me here.
Curtis Amy: Katanga!
