Paul Carrack - Satisfy My Soul, he has a super voice.

I am enjoying this.

Some might call it a little fluffy, but sometimes all I want is some well-performed fluff to relax to. Mr Carrack certainly has a fine voice.

Thanks for the tip Alan.

Glad you enjoyed it Nigel. Most of his back catalogue is in the same vein and can be a bit similar but it is worthwhile at the right price. He's also excellent live where he can draw on Ace and Mike and The Mechanics material.

You are not wrong Alan, just picked this up for a quid on the River. Who says this hobby is expensive. Don't you just love t'internet!

IMHO I don't think she has made a better album than this  which came out in 2015

Ewe, IMHO this is an absolute belter and I have tried to find it but only tracked it down on Discogs but it is in vinyl format only, or MP3 only on the river. Do you know if it is available on CD and where I might find it?

Only on vinyl as far as I am aware.

The album was on a limited print run and got deleted very quickly. Copies change hands at stupid prices.

She has also released a number of albums as a solo artist.

My copy is a rip of the vinyl.

Wow he is pretty good, the slight hint of a french accent helps make him sound like Greenie.

Try some of his other albums as you may like them better.

Gary Clark Jr and Jason Moeller.

It's an early album in Gary's career entitled Tribute.

Continuing with the Chicks and Home, I always enjoy their cover of "Landslide" produced by Sheryl Crow.

Playing on Vinyl - Really nice album by English  guitarist Gordon Giltrap from 1977.It contains Heartsong which was his big single. A nice mixture of classical guitar and progressive workouts.

Amazing guitarist, so many fine albums. Recent issue Last of England ...music inspired by the pre Raphaelite collection in Birmingham Art gallery, and check out A Matter of Time which is G. Giltrap and Martin Taylor. I am a bit biased as GG is a pal.

An album I haven't played in years. Used to never be off my t/t after I bought it in Denver, Co.

Got tickets to see him as the support act for The Eagles but he cancelled as he wanted to finish working on his Netherlands album.

Apparently he was excellent live.

Another old fav of mine which I haven't played much in a long time.

Think it is more to do with the LA sound of the album as it sounds so dated.

Another fav from the period.

One of those albums I never tire of listening to and one of those albums I have multiple copies of.

Wes from 1963 - Boss Guitar

Mmm... Play those octaves!

Posted on: 22 October 2018 by Bert Schurink

Great vocal album, also quite some variation...

Posted on: 22 October 2018 by Bert Schurink

This is a quite immersive piece of music. Starting kind of symphonic and then in section going into very tight fushion type of music....

Lee Morgan - Take Twelve

A lesser known album from Lee Morgan, but it contains some good hard bop jazz.
