This one from Hall & Oates passed me by at the time, my first listen after having ripped the new arrival this morning and it has those hooks and catchiness of their earlier albums, more 'poppy' than I normally like but enjoying this first run through very much...
My fav is still Abandonned Luncheonette
Bill Evans - The Sesjun radio shows
This double CD contains recordings of Bill Evans concerts which where made by the Dutch radio show 'Sesjun'. The recordings are from 1973, 1975 and 1979 and feautre Bill Evans in a duo setting (with Eddie Gomez on bass), in a trio setting (with Eddie Gomez and Eliot Zigmund on drums) and in a quartet setting (with Marc Johnson, Joe Labarbera and Toots Thielemans).
Both recording quality and music are good.
This is really growing on me, I just love Bartlett’s playing and what a wonderful recording of piano.

Voices
More Hall & Oates while I'm in the mood for their fine stuff, sounding very good indeed with a lovely dynamic range and SQ from this early original CD.

Leeds and Stockholm early seventies, luverly stuff from Tony McPhee and the hogs.
Hi all!
This was where the poppy period of the guys started, the album is by the way quite good...
Part of a very good set of Mozart Sonatas...
Bill Evans - Waltz for Debby. Even though I have the complete set from this date, it’s still nice to play this album, which I’m currently playing through the NDS as a farewell gesture It’s sounding remarkably good right now too.

Some early Suzanne Vega. I've had this album for many years but never tire of it.

Possibly my favourite Pineapple Thief album, Bert.
Inspired by posts from Ewemon and Seakayaker earlier today, I'm giving one of my favourite Lyle Lovett albums a spin - Joshua Judges Ruth.

Fully Completely
Fine rock from this great Canadian outfit and jeez was it really 26 years ago!

Saw the band one night. Tony stepped up on to the drum riser and managed to get his guitar chord caught on one of the Tom Toms. When he jumped off the riser the drum kit fell into the middle of the stage. Like a true pro he carried on playing whilst the roadies put the kit back together.
Carole King - Tapestry.
A few trax off the new Neil Young acoustic album coming out in December.
The trax were compiled from his 76 tour.
Vinyl reissue originally released 1958 - A veritable greatest-hits album, The Wildest! is the gem of Louis Prima's catalogue. It’s a raunchy mix of demented gibberish, blaring sax, and explosive swing, which rocked as hard as anything released at the time. Almost all of Prima's signature songs are found here: "Just a Gigolo/I Ain't Got Nobody," "Oh Marie," "Jump, Jive, an' Wail," and "Buona Sera," to name a few. Great stuff 8)
Low, album Double Negative. A bit like Nils Frahm with vocals, a little inaccessible at first and then it really gets in on you with a few listens, the track Fly is excellent. Quirky and well worth a few listens, it’ll knock any cobwebs off your speakers too! Streaming on Tidal.
Bowie - Tonight (1984). I recently got the deal from junodownload, Loving the Alien (1983 - 1988) box set flac download which has a remaster of this album. However, I'm currently playing the 1984 original vinyl release which sounds very good, possibly just a bit better than the digital remaster.
