Lest we forget, there was some great rock during them there 80's too.
As you well know Mr Marshall, technically speaking, that's a 70's album.
Aye, ah ken that, but, like every other bugger, ah didnae get tae hear it till yon 80's, ken.
So, does that one not count then?

Well, that took all of 30 seconds, and I claim my prize!
Paper Plane posted:Right then. More original 1980s vinyl
Why? Let's keep this 80s thing going.
Mind you, I'll pass on returning to Mrs Plane Mk 2 who was from 1980s...

I have the original vinyl, but am currently playing a recent vinyl reissue on the LP12 and it’s very good, unfortunately the NDX 2 sounds frankly uninvolving playing a remaster on Qobuz via Chromecast.
I’m seriously considering an LP12 makeover rather than NDX 2 tonight.
Before listened to this one, a nice album of two very capable musicians...
1st run right now, seems to be more experimental as normal with Christian....
Gaz Coombes - World's Strongest Man. This is a real surprise for me. I bought the Supergrass album, I Should Coco, in the mid 1990s, but was very disappointed and never play it. I read a good review of this new album from Gaz Coombes and was intrigued enough to sample a few tracks from it via the internet which I really enjoyed. Anyway, got the CD today and it's remarkably good.
Jimmy Smith & Wes Montgomery - Jimmy & Wes :The Dynamic Duo their first collaboration from '66.
On vinyl, I bought it some time ago but only played in this format tonight, utterly amazing compared to my older CD version. Many of the songs are excellent on the live DVD/BluRays for sheer fun, but this is an amazing LP:

Bert, I would be interested to know what your thoughts are on the Steven Wilson remaster and SQ of this iconic KC album?
I am perhaps the wrong one to ask as I am new to the old King Crimson. As I can’t compare it with the original. I used the rip from the DVD with 24/96, and overall think that the detail is there, but the slam fullness of the sound I find dissapointing. Now it might also be that they recorded it like that, so then it would be ok. But if I compare with the recent live ones of King Crimson, for me nigh5 and day...
OK, thanks Bert.
Continued the journey with KC...
Playing on Vinyl on IRS Records - REM sounding awesome on this beauty.I saw them on their only UK date at Hammersmith Odean London on that tour and they played a superb set.
Just released and perfect for this chilly Saturday morning...
On Tidal...
