On the eve of a new year, it's time for a new thread.
Last year's thread can be found here:
Spiritualized - And Nothing Hurt
Ok but not as good as his earlier work...
If you love spiritual jazz, this will be also one you like...., I personally like it...
Great album, not for quiet background listening.... have to listen to it multiple times to get fully into it...
Just bought totally stripped, kind of special these versions...
Peter Erskine and the Dr. Um band - Second opinion
Nice mixture of jazz / funk / fusion music.
- Bass – Benjamin Shepherd
- Drums – Peter Erskine
- Keyboards – John Beasley
- Saxophone, Flute – Bob Sheppard
On vinyl. Their debut album.
Feeling a bit ‘Canterbury’ today.

An interesting collaboration. Very easy listening
Also in a symphonic context great music...
Kongos - Egomaniac. The best use of an acordion I have heard so far.
Only my second listen but I'm very much liking this.
Remaster on Tidal sounding unexpectedly spectacular!

MDS, love Norah Jones so just ordered this off of the Bay.
The beauty of Monteverdi
I've had the volume turned up loud and been grooving to the sounds of the Ozrics whilst making the Christmas cake, which is now in the oven for the next six hours.
Red Alert, Red Garland, with horns. for a change. Lots of energy in the playing.
DEVERAUN SERAUN by KIRAN LEONARD
Vinyl released 2017 - Derevaun Seraun is a complex album - it takes a while for some of the songs to reveal their appeal - but it’s a record that rewards your time and attention. 8)

The Beatles, starting the day with the first track from the second album. Why? Because its our daughter's birthday!
More Ozrics, this time Erpland. Possibly a bit more hippy trippy than Jurassic Shift, but it still rocks!

For a moment there I thought she was going to start a revolution.
