On the eve of a new year, it's time for a new thread.
Last year's thread can be found here:
Popular on here and sounding really sublime these evening on my Nova, Anders Jormin Soul of Things with Tomasz Stanko Quartet. Streaming on Tidal. ECM naturally.

Love that album and I think it's Tori's best.
Just finished playing this classic. It was the album through which I discovered Supertramp.
After Supertramp I thought I'd go for something very different. Only recently discovered Chely Wright via this thread.
another 'oldie' vinyl on the spin today... none of all this "digital" stuff today :-(
enjoy/ken
another great old vinyl... and yes, about time too !!!

Now Playing..........
Jakob Bro - Balladeering
Jakob Bro (guitar), Bill Frisell (guitar), Leo Konitz (alto saxophone), Ben Street (bass) and Paul Motian (drums).
streaming on NAS........... a weekend with Jakob (Saturday Evening) and Bill (Sunday Evening), both in Seattle this weekend and tickets to both performances! Love this opening album of the trilogy of Balladering, Time, and December Song with Jakob, Bill and Leo on all three albums, Paul Motain passed away a short time before the recording of Time and Thomas Morgan on Bass was added for Time and December Song and Craig Taborn on Piano was added fro December Song. I could not find these three albums in the US and had to purchase them from LovelandRecords and PladeKisten in Denmark and well worth the time and money!
I've got several Seal albums and mostly tend to play his first two as I think they are his best but this one, Commitment, is next. This CD has a couple of very nice bonus tracks: If I could Ever Make You Love Me and the version of You Get Me that features Buika.
AEnima
(1996)
Because this is some very fine Tool (probably their best album and totally recommended by myself) fronted up as ever by the weird and wonderful Maynard James Keenan, classified and tagged as metal it should have progressive stitched in there too.
Now Playing.........
Jakob Bro - Time
Jakob Bro (guitar), Bill Frisell (guitar), Leo Konitz (alto saxophone) and Thomas Morgan (bass).
Streaming on NAS........ continuing on this afternoon with Jakob and friends, and they are sounding mighty fine!
Vinyl released 2012 - The title of this album is enough to reveal a charm, “Live at Birdland” and to open the mind to a collective image that brings you back to the greats of the past, to those musicians who wrote history within the walls of this famous New York club. Suffice it to say that not only was Enrico Pieranunzi the only Italian to receive a carte blanche in that magical venue at 315 West 44th Street, but on this occasion he was accompanied by two giants in music history. Two absolute masters like Steve Swallow and Paul Motian. Just listening to the first five minutes of this unique recording is all you need to understand that the chemistry worked, that by putting these magical elements together, the magic that CAM JAZZ so strongly desired, was made. Excellent album. 8)
Drums – Paul Motian
Electric Bass – Steve Swallow
Piano – Enrico Pieranunzi
