On the eve of a new year, it's time for a new thread.
Last year's thread can be found here:

Jamie XX - In Colour
A good album to check for a soggy bottom end
Isn’t loo roll better?
Nice new EP
Was only aware of his be bop albums, this is also good...
I've posted this before. Andrew Combs - Canyons of my Mind. A blend of folk, country and pop, with a smidge of rock. Excellent stuff.
The Barr Brothers - Sleeping Operator. Another one I've posted not too long ago, but I absolutely love it. I think the Barr Brothers are my favourite discovery of 2018.
After giving 'Love' a run through this morning, i thought i'd start the afternoon listening with this one
Christine Collister - Into the light
Quieter and more melodic later studio album...Steady as she goes basically.
Touches of JJ Cale... I like it.

Just playing the Blood on the Tracks titles from this set in anticipation of the More Blood album, which should arrive tomorrow. Woohoo!
did you buy the deluxe version Clive?
enjoy/ken
Teddy Thompson - A Piece of What You Need. Richard and Linda's son with an album from 2008 which is very enjoyable. His father plays guitar on a couple of tracks, but it's essentially a pop album.

Jutta Hip - with Zoot Sims
Jutta Hipp, a talented German pianist, came to the United States in the mid-'50s and quickly gained some attention. However, she was soon criticized for sounding too close to Horace Silver and, after recording this final Blue Note album, she gradually dropped out of music.
- Bass – Ahmed Abdul-Malik
- Drums – Ed Thigpen
- Piano – Jutta Hipp
- Tenor Saxophone – Zoot Sims
- Trumpet – Jerry Lloyd (2)
Now playing........
Ray LaMontagne - Trouble
Streaming on NAS.......... I have recently been smitten with Ray, enjoying his music, superb songwriting, and vocals and opening the day with his first album, the 2004 release 'Trouble,' which is sounding mighty sweet this Sunday morning!
Thanks SK - you've reminded me to give this album a play. 'Trouble' was my go to Ray Lamontagne album but this has become a bit of a favourite of late...
Ray Lamontagne - Till The Sun Turns Black
Gustav Holst - The Planets
I saw this fine old classic getting played here a little while ago and made a not to give it a play. Karajan pulling out all the stops on this 1981 recording and giving it the full beans, good stuff.
Sorry about posting the Teddy Thompson album twice - I thought the first one hadn't worked as I couldn't see it.
Something super-smooth before dinner. Ms Gardot hits the spot.
Don't worry about it Chunky, it can happen.

Trio Jerome Beaulieu - Misc
Good modern piano trio music.
- Acoustic Bass – Philippe Leduc
- Drums – William Côté
- Piano – Jérôme Beaulieu
I've just finished listening to this, Wayne Shorter's Night Dreamer. Note the listing of the other soloists on the front of the sleeve: Lee Morgan, Reggie Workman, Elvin Jones etc. In this case 'etc.' only means McCoy Tyner!! Curiously, at times there are glimpses of Coltrane influence - wonder why.
Playing on Vinyl - A lovely album by Renaissance from 1975.Great orchestration and musicianship topped off by Annie Haslam's gorgeous voice
