Starting the afternoon with a classic ,Simon and Garfunkel - Bridge Over Troubled Water.
Elton John - Blue Moves, must admit ,don't always play the full double album ,but choosing four of five tracks from each disc makes for a decent 40 minutes or so.
Playing on Cassette on Maxell ULS C60 - Superbly produced B52 's album Cosmic Thing from 1989 with Nile Rogers and Don Was behind the mixing desk.
Elvin Jones - Dear John C.
Great jazz by Elvin Jones and his quartet. Recorded in 1965.
- Alto Saxophone – Charlie Mariano
- Bass – Richard Davis
- Drums – Elvin Jones
- Piano – Hank Jones (tracks: A4, A5, B2), Roland Hanna (tracks: A1, A3, B3)
Now playing...........
John Potter - Ambrose Field: Being Dufay
Streaming on TIDAL........ I saw this mentioned a couple of times yesterday and had played this album once before so thought I would take it out for another spin. Sounding peaceful and beautiful, soothing for a Monday morning and the start of the work week..........

Best of luck, Nigel.

Tea for The Tillerman
Cat Stevens' fine old album featuring this great single and quite a few other lovely tracks.
Playing on Vinyl - Just a good Muddy water greatest hits album
Enjoying a bit of 'Country' from Chely Wright.
And now onto Kandace Springs' second album. Took me a while to get into this. Glad I preserved with it.
Sade - Best Of, cracking comp, bought it for the exclusive track, her version of " Please Send Me Someone To Love ", the Percy Mayfield song.
(1984)
Chicago 17
Fifteen or so years on from their debut they were still knocking out radio and MTV friendly soft rocks hits. I don't play them much these days but when they were good they were very good.
Fay Claassen & WDR Big Band - Dutch Songbook
Classic Dutch songs played in jazz arrangements.

only 'discovered' this lady when I happened on one of her CDs - "Ophelia" - in ripped collection that I didn't recall ever playing /as I said I actually enjoyed this, so may be tempted to try more...?

One can have too much Keith Jarrett improv, but after listening to La Scala yesterday, I thought I’d play this one. It’s part of a four album box set, with four concerts recorded in Northern Italian cities over eight days.

Ken, you may want to check out her original band, 10,000 Maniacs, if you don’t know them. In My Tribe is particularly good.

American, Ken. I only discovered her through this thread and the CD was pretty cheap.

Released 2012 - Fine debut album. ????
(2006)
On an Island
A lovely solo album from David Gilmour, a nice one to chill out to with a glass of something or other.
Van Morrison - Into The Music
Van has made so many albums, I am sure there must be a duffer among them, but I have yet to come across it.
Yet another belter from the Man.
