Last year's thread can be found here:
Non-cheesy easy, on two CDs:
Playing on Compact Disc - Very dry life observations from the fabulous Eel's from 2001

Then have a listen to Buxtehude's Jesu meine Freude, BuxWV 60. Its where Bach took inspiration from for his Motet Jesu meine Freude.
I seem to remember that you like string quartets. Well, in Buxtehude you get one contrary to Bach's version.
Eg:
Original vinyl released 1974 - Classic Morrison and my favourite. ????
Bob Dylan - Desire.
Having been playing BOTT and the More Blood album lately I've been exploring a few other Dylan albums in my collection. After BOTT this is my next favourite. I really like the harmonies with Emmylou Harris. Currently playing through for a second time.
Playing on Cassette on Maxell ULS C60 - Fabulous Cream debut from 1966
Playing on Compact Disc -Fabulous roukas rock and roll from Barrance Whitfield and the Savages - I always like the cover Barrance seems to be smoking from our very own Tobyjug
Playing CD 1 from this two disc set : )
Blackfield 2, released in 2007. Steven Wilson and Aviv Geffen.
Playing on Compact Disc - Really good album by the late Warren Zevon
Wes Montgomery - Movin' along
Recorded in 1960.
- Bass – Sam Jones
- Drums – Louis Hayes
- Flute – James Clay
- Guitar – Wes Montgomery
- Piano – Victor Feldman
on cd on a rainy afternoon,
More easy, library, film and TV music, compiled in the 1990s. It's got "The Return of The Saint" on it, which always cracks me up as it reminds me of this scene from I'm Alan Partridge:
and now this on original vinyl. One of my favourite records.
Playing on Vinyl - A fabulous album by Birminghams Reggae finest Steel Pulse
Michel Petrucciani (piano) & Niels-Henning Orsted Pedersen (bass).
Great jazz from these two giants. Recorded live in 1994 in Denmark.
