All the best from Fredrik
We watched "Never let me go" yesterday and it was quite disturbing.
Director's Cut
Even with the inclusion of so much fiction,
i still enjoy this wonderful movie every year or 3 : )
Debs
Yep, great film.
I remember seeing it the year it was released. As a student I went to an afternoon matinee, the cinema was populated with a light smattering of old dears - don't think it was quiet the film they expected.

A very good political drama.
A very good political drama.
Yes, we enjoyed it. A study of human nature.

Watched the BR last night. Great film.

Hilarious!

The true story of Billy Beane, a former jock turned general manager who uses unconventional methods to bring the best players to the Oakland A's, a major league baseball team struggling against financial hardship.
Haim, I need to catch up - Ides of March and Moneyball both look interesting. We watched Best Exotic Marigold Hotel at the weekend, nothing to write home about. Next on the viewing list is Blackthorn with Sam Shepard.
A very offbeat drama/comedy, which seemingly throws together characters that don't belong in the same movie: the straight FBI agent, coming book villains, Irish village police yokels and The Guard himself, a kind hearted, lonely, whoring, practical dinosaur on the force, who channels both Dirty Harry and the Bad Lieutenant. I had a great time, SWMBO couldn't care less.

Recently watched Band of Brothers on BR, The Pacific next.
'Band of Brothers' was fantastic, 'The Pacific' was very well done, but the nature of the conflict didn't make for such a flowing narrative, still enjoyable though.
We have just finished the second season of 'The West Wing' and are really enjoying it. Great scripts, great cast, OK direction, but one of the best things about this box set is that when you put the next disc in you just get a 10 second Warners logo and straight to the menu to play.
No three minutes of being told you are a copyright thief and stupid sound production stings every time you just want to watch something you have bought from a legitimate seller.
West Wing must be one of the best series ever made.
Interesting about the "abbreviated" log on. It was really tedious whilst watching BofB.

A great film, both myself and SWMBO enjoyed it; Brendan Gleeson's superb.
After escaping from a violent cult in rural New York, Martha tries to reconnect with her estranged sister, Lucy, and Lucy's well-to-do husband, Ted. But the brainwashing Martha endured continues to prevent her from forming an identity of her own.
First feature film by Paddy Considine (Dead Man's Shoes / Hot Fuzz) - Its brutal but one of the best british films I have seen this year
Kill List
Just DON'T.
Violent. Rambling. Pointless ...I could go on. You don't have to, find something better to do with your life for two hours.

Wot a good film
Sunday night, on Sky:-
Again.
Rarely have I lusted after someone so much as Gwen Demarco...
Good film. Still.
Midnight in Paris
In a word, charming. Have to say that Owen Wilson sounded more and more LIKE Woody Allen as the film went on.

Still a film that I happily re-watch. It is rare to find a parody that is genuinely funny, and ends up honouring what it is spoofing.

Can't help but agree. The design of the spaceship is lovely, just different enough from the Enterprise, but still you know what it is. Great cast, and just a lovely way to spend a couple of hours.
