All the best from Fredrik
A great one.
The Alastair Sim film of JB Priestley's An Inspector Calls.
A masterpiece of a play, and converted into a masterpiece of a film in my opinion. Watched before the Prom started ...

Battleship.
Cheesy, idiotic, check your brain at the door, guns blazing, hard rock soundtrack with copious ACDC.
Silly, stupid, and I loved it. All 4 subs in overdrive!
Just finished the 2nd series and waiting for the 3rd in the mail. So wonderful it's hard to believe that TV can show such things.

Hi Maxbertola
I am on also on series 2 of in treatment, I love it, Gabriel Byrne is superb as is every character. The script is very well written. Can't wait for the next series.

Donald,
I don't get emotional easily but there have been very touching moments, with Mia or April. Walter is one of my favourite characters. I can't but recommend it greatly. The average quality of the acting is stunning.

An American Werewolf in London - never seen it before and always wanted to. Great film which must have been lots of fun to make - I had forgotten just how much my best friend at University looked like Jenny Agutter!

Hi Max
I agree, having been drawn into every characters life and the issues surrounding them, I can see some parellels with my own life and issues which at times makes for uncomfortable viewing but compelling nonetheless.

Funny dark comedy with a star turn for Dan Aykroyd who wants to convince our anti-hero Cusack of joining his union for contract killers.

"I'm the police, I run shit around here. You just live here."
"King Kong ain't got shit on me!"
D.O.A., with my hero Dennis Quaid and a gorgeous Meg Ryan

Cameron Crowe's latest is a very likable, sweet, feel good movie with a heart - and a fantastic cast.

Another top performance from Denzil Washington.
Some great action sets and the sound effects will give your AV kit a good work out!
Wonderful film, Bruno Ganz gave a tour de force performance as Hitler. One of the very best war films I have seen - I wasn't actually expecting to like it but it is a masterpiece.
Jonathan
It doesn't feel like an hommage to 80s films... more like a modern reboot of an 80s film. Expendables 2 did it better. Flawed, but reasonably entertaining.
Cheers,
EJ
Girl With a Dragon Tattoo. A different and dark thriller. 8.5.
Justice At Nuremberg.
A harrowing film ... I had an English teacher who was the first British Major to enter Bergen Belsen. He never entirely got over that, as far I knew. ...

Enjoying this on Netflix... It's a bit dark.

Might help the non-psychic.

I kind-of thought this image was verging on iconic. But maybe that's just in my mind. Yes, Breaking Bad.
Cheers,
