What is the latest music you downloaded, what resolution and from where?

Posted by: Stevee_S on 13 January 2014

With more music being downloaded I thought it might be interesting to see what forum members are buying and from where.

The news that HD Tracks are soon to open an online UK store means that more choice is going to be available to us. The variety and quality of downloadable music we can choose from is expanding, MP3 to 24bit studio Masters at 192kHz and beyond.

So what are you buying and downloading?

Not many musicians manage to go from Rock (was he? certainly was part of the Grateful Dead scene) to classical music.  Macca tried it but owing to the fact that he is now rubbish he fell flat on his face.

He was more involved with the Lamonte Young scene than the Dead, though that would have been intriguing!

I thought he got involved in the Kool-Aid acid test thing?  t'Pranksters.

I downloaded it from pro studio masters - a site I have never used before. Always a bit critical of just using credit card on every site...but as none of the other sites have it I took the plunge.

Tchaikovsky's 1812 by Minnesota Brass & Minneapolis Symphony.

Qobus 16/44.1  -  comes in .flac but as normal I convert to .wav

You need to shorten the zip file title (rename) to extract as its too long

Its an old recording from late 50's & other early 60's & remastered for CD stereo at a later date.  For effects its by far the best; the sound effects (all described & demo'd in the recording) can seriously damage your speakers.
