Just been on to Amazon to order a NEW Jazz 8 CD box set. The price NEW was £7.63, 2ND hand it was £14.75. I then checked other CDs and found the same. Maybe i have lost the plot and need to be taken to the funny farm but i always expected S/H cds to be cheaper. Perhaps one of you experts out their can explain!!!! A puzzled Mista H

While ripping my CDs to NAS I have come across a number of rusty CDs, as expected all manufactured by PDO.  They look more golden than my Mobile Fidelity CDs! However the only one so far unplayable has been Peek-a-boo CD single by Siouxsie...

Naim Label guitar virtuoso Antonio Forcione was touring Europe, when he chanced upon the stunning tone and control of twenty-something Sabina Sciubba at an after-show celebration in Hamburg. Upon his return to the UK, he made a beeline for Naim Audio with a spur-of-the-moment idea to take this amazing young lady into the studio. Antonio and Sabina exchanged demo tapes and song ideas until in the autumn of 1997, the two met at September Sound Studio in Twickenham to record an album of popular...

Only a couple of weeks ago, I listened to an audio setup that has made me seriously reconsider my audio priorities. George is right, life is short, and earlier this week I decided to take the plunge and traded in my entire Naim setup. It's now...

Morning all Not sure if this has been covered elsewhere but one upside of the demise of cd has been some cracking box set offers....not the expensive remasters but good honest original albums bundled up. Us tangerine dream fans have been enjoying the virgin years box sets providing 12 albums across two sets for about £20 or so. I've just found Edgar froese's solos to match (another 6 albums). As someone who has avoided reproducing my vinyl on cd this is proving a cost effective way of...

I have just "seen", it will make sense in an minute,  Paul Weller for the upteenth time on Jools. To  my very "average" listening ears,  everytime he comes up with a "new" record, it sounds exactly as the previous one....

I just heard that  Pulp has reformed, or, if you preferred, reunited. Why???.  I have never understood why people listen to this arty-farty,  pompous nonsense and think it's art. And, apparently, its ramifications has reached the...

Hi there. I was looking at a youtube video of the "lost" 1990 Blue Nile US Tour documentary Flags and Fences: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v...&feature=related Whilst doing that I came across what was, I think, the b side of the 7inch of Tinseltown In The Rain, Regret. I had forgotten how hauntingly beautiful it is. Now I can't get it out of my head. I can't find a way to legally (or illegally for that matter) get a version of this song. linky to the fan vid of...
