Happy Easter Everyone! I am looking to expand my classical cd collection. Does deutsche grammophon hold the best recordings? Can you recommend a better label? Should I just go for what I like and not care about the label? Soo many to choose from... I usually buy my cd´s from amazon. All the Best

Anybody know if this version released in 2010 by Jazz Wax Records on 180g vinyl is mono or stereo? I've a CBS release in "stereo" with musicians on either side of the room so I'm after a mono version with all the musicians in the middle.

Given that so many remastered albums are disappointing, is there a site or service that reviews or compiles lists reflecting the quality of a given remaster vs. the original release?

Responses to another post on "the Naim sound" had me wondering which live or "concert" recorded songs I liked better than their studio counterparts.  Yes, there can be much to like about the quality of studio recordings, but sometimes live has...

An interesting article from the BBC. While it does make a good & valid point - does the growth of 'Bedroom Studios' allow more freedom for young / no budget / no contract music makers? http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-17379538

My only realistic solution right now for storing LPs is on some existing bookshelves. They are about 4 feet wide. So, the LPs flop/fall to the side.  I've tried various bookends, but none are sturdy enough.  Ideally, I could get or make some...
